Celebration

Y/n's pov:

Everybody went silent as soon as iruka sensei entered the classroom. He had a bundle of papers in his hands. He stopped in front of his table and turned toward us.

"Alright. This is your written exam. You have to answer all questions. I wish you all luck. Do your best" he said and started giving students their test. He arrived at my seat. I looked up at him. He smiled and me and whispered slowly.

"I have confidence in you. Good luck,
Y/n" he gave me my test paper and went ahead. I took a deep breath and soon the test started.

*Timeskip*

"Next test will be of ninjutsu. You have to do atleast three clones to pass. Come when your name is called." them he took one student with him. Time flew by quickly. I didn't realized it was my turn.

"Y/n, you are next" iruka Sensei said as he walked toward the door. I was passing by when I heard a small 'good luck'. I turned to see it was sasuke. I whispered a small you too and walked away.

I arrived in a room where there was another teacher sitting with Iruka sensei. " Alright, do atleast three clones". the other teacher said looking at me. I looked at iruka sensei. He gave a small nod with determined look. I did right hand signs needed.

" Clone jutsu" I said loudly and three replica of me appeared in front of us.

"Alright, you pass. Congratulations" the other teacher said whose name was I suppose mizuki. I looked at iruka sensei, he looked proud.

"Congratulations, Y/n. You are now a genin. I am proud of you" he said with his smile melting my heart. I gave him my smile.
"Thank you, sensei". I picked up a headband and walked out. I stopped at door and looked back one more time. Iruka sensei was already looking at me. We shared a smile and I walked out. Though some where in my heart, it hurts me to leave but I have to leave. There was no point in cursing this damn door that is separating our paths but I still did. I still cursed it. 

I walked out of academy to see parents celebraring with their children. My parents will also be happy for me, right?! They will also buy sweets and gifts for me.

Right?

  I walked through the crowd and saw naruto sitting alone in the swing. Ohh poor boy. He again didn't pass.

I stepped closer to him until I was standing in front of him. He looked up at me. He had tears in his eyes.

"I failed again, y/n chan. I think you should just leave me. It will spoil your reputation if you keep talking to me." he said looking down sadly.

" Useless things like reputation doesn't matter to me. What matter the most to me are my friends. If they are in need, I will sell my own soul to help them" I don't want him to be sad ever again.

"But I'm just a failure and I'll always be a failure" tears started flowing from his eyes.

"You can't let your failure define you. Let your failure teach you. Failure is hard but turn those failure into opportunities to gain experience so that when you look back you can smile happily, not regret for giving up."

He dwelled in his own thought. I let him think about his decision and left silently.

I was on my way when I saw the dango shop, I shoped from the other day. I don't have anyone to celebrate with. So I guess I will celebrate with myself. I entered the shop and took a seat on a table. The shop was looking busy. Well many people were going to celebrate today. So it was not surprising. I ordered my favourite mochi and Gan lun tea and was waiting for them patiently.

"May I sit here. All the other seats are taken." I heard an unfamiliar voice. I looked up and saw a man with black cloak with white and red cloud on it. The cloak was till his nose and he was wearing a hat with a bell on it, that covered most of his face. He was quite suspicious.

I looked around the shop and it indeed was full. So I decided to cooperate a little.

"Please take a seat." I said with a small smile. He sat in front of me. And ordered for himself.

"So are you a traveller?!" I tried to start a conversation.

"Yes I am travelling to land of fire" he replied dryly as he looked at me and took in my appearance. His gaze was calculating.

"Are you here alone?!" to my surprise he also asked me a question.

"Yeah I am. I just passes as a genin so I decided to celebrate a little" i answered him smiling.
"Why are you celebrating alone, then?" he asked again looking directly into my eyes. His black onyx eyes were like threatening me.

"Haha who said i'm celebrating alone. You are here with me aren't you?" I asked him. I was waiting for his reaction but he just smiled a little.

"well Congratulations on passing. May you success in your life" he said smiling. His smile is beautifull.

"You know you remind me of my classmate alot. You two really look alike. What a coincidence" i said laughing. I know I was playing with fire.

"I wonder if he really look like me." he was tenser then before.

"You know you are a good guy,Mr." I said chuckling a little.

"I am not a good guy. People look like angel but are devil underneath. You should be carefull from that type of people." he said staring right into my eyes. He was giving me an open warning.

"Decisions are made on both counsious and sub-counsious level. When two decisions don't match up, people face anxiety and in anxiety, people make bad decisions. " there was a distance look in my eyes. I looked at him in the eye.

"After all villan are made not born" I could tell that there was something in his eyes that he wanted to say but decided against it. As our food arrived we digged in.

"What is your name? " he asked looking up from his plate.
"Well I don't think it's wise to give strangers your name." i said nonchantly.

"My name is Itachi" he introduced himself.

"Itachi what?!" I asked sipping my tea.

For some time he didn't answered.
"You don't need to know."he said looking at me coldly.

"well my name is y/n" I said without looking at him. There was still some tension between us but despite that we chatted peacefully about weather and our favoirite sweets.

After I was done, I paid for both of us. He tried to protest but I paid anyway.

"You know you celebrated with me so I have to pay" I smiled at him.

"Next time you can pay. I won't mind. I'm broke anyway" with that I left for my house. Today was eventfull.

Anyway we will be assigned our teams soon. I wonder whose team I'll be on.
