Land of waves

Y/n's pov:

After my first mission with team moon, I went on many other missions with them and trained with them. I still had to get my mission with team7. After doing another C rank mission with team moon, we arrived at hokage's office. To my surprise team7 was also there. Naruto was sitting on the floor while others looked irritated. Looks like he is complaining.

There was another person in there that I had yet to notice but that person noticed me right away.

We entered the room and stood beside team7. I stood beside kakashi sensei and greeted him lazily. He greeted back and did his infamous eye smile. I looked around the room but my eyes stopped on certain someone.

Me and iruka sensei made eye contact. It was like time stopped. I was staring at him and he was also staring right back. I bowed to him showing my respect. He smiled back in return.

A blush slowly crept onto my face. This didn't go unnotice by kakashi and aya. Iruka sensei's face was also tinted in pink. He gave me a concerned look after taking a look at my state. My clothes were ripled from several places. Several scratches and cuts on my arms that was visible.

I just gave him a small smile and mouthed 'I'm okay'. This didn't seem to ease his worries.

"Ahh team moon, you are on right time. I think y/n has done great in team moon but it's time she starts doing missions with team7 too" this didn't please team moon at all.

"Why does she have to be with dobes anyway? She is way better then them." toshi asked in an annoyed tone only to be hit by aya sensei and ryukki.

"Mind your language, toshi. He is hokage, not ryukki that you can complain to." aya sensei started scolding him.

"Yeah.  To me you look like a brat more then naruto." sasuke was glaring at toshi. 

"You said something, walking corpse." this time ryukki was the one to reply.

"Look the wall is talking." naruto supported sasuke. They only show teamwork while fighting each other. If only they could have showed it on missions, life would be soo easy.

Aya sensei and kakashi sensei nooded at each other. They both hit the boys of their teams on head and dragged them away. I sighed.

"Anyway, now y/n will do her first mission with team7. You have to escort master bridge builder, tazuna  to the land of waves and protect him till he completes his bridge. This is a C rank mission. Y/n has went on plenty C rank missions, so she will be of great help." hokage said dismissing us.

Kakashi sensei turned toward us and said " Alright team. Get ready and meet me on the gates tomorrow at 6 am. Don't be late. Especially you, y/n." he said looking pointedly toward me. I sweat dropped. We walked toward our houses. Before walking out of the room, I looked at iruka sensei one last time. He was also looking at me. We smiled at each other. After that, I walked out.

"Y/n chan, I will go with you." naruto said happily skipping next to me. It's been a long time since I hanged out with naruto.

"Alright. Before that why don't we get some ice cream to eat." I offered him. His face brightened up.

"You are the best Y/n chan." he said jumping with happiness. He is like a cute pupy. Soo cute.

Alfter that we ate ice cream and he walked me home. It was really good idea to hang out with him.

"Alright naruto, this is my stop. I said as we arrived at my door step. He waved at me with a bright smile.

"Ohk Y/n chan. See you tomorrow. Good night." he said running toward the direction of his apartment I suppose. He is really energetic like a ball of sunshine. I entered my apartment to be only met with darkness. I switched on the lights and prepared for dinner. I don't that much of appetite. Miso soup would be enough. I started making my dinner.
