Chapter 16 : Positive

Do you ever have the moment?

That moment where you feel like everything is going in slow motion?

That's exactly how I feel right now.

We're just staring at each other.

No words, no movement.

Just two bodies and four eyes.

Staring.

Me and Harry.

"Woah, what happened to the life over here?" Jake said walking over. I went back into reality and took my eyes off of Harry. I looked at Jake, but said nothing. "Is everything alright?" He asked looking from me to Harry.

I still didn't reply. I ran my fingers through my hair. What is going to happen now? Is Niall just gonna walk through the door next? Will we reunite and be just like before. Or will he want nothing to do with me?

"Ella?!" Jake said. "What?" I said quietly. "What's going on?" He asked. "Harry, Jake. Jake, Harry." I said.

Harry still looked at me.

"You remember my name. Please tell me you remember-"

"Niall..." I whispered.

"Thank god." He smiled.

Jake still stood confused. "Aren't you from One Direction?" He asked. Harry nodded, and leaned against the counter. "Ella. I need to talk to you. Like now, in private." He said in a low voice. I looked over at Jake. He nodded toward the back. I walked toward the back with Harry closely behind.

"Why are you here?" I whispered. "I was just looking for you. I came here, and tada! You're here." He said with a big smile on his face. "Why were you looking for me?" I asked.

"Niall."

Was all he said.

"What about him?" I said getting goosebumps. "He misses you, Ella. A lot. It's terrible to see him like this." He said. "He wants to see you, he needs to." He whispered. "Why would he still like me?" I said.

It's true though, why would he like someone who's father was going to kill him. "Well, why wouldn't he?" He said confused. "My dad." I mumbled looking down. "Oh, I'm sure you too can hide from him or something-" I looked up at him shocked.

"You haven't heard, have you?" I whispered.

"Haven't heard what?" He asked.

My mouth opened, then closed.

Should I tell him? Maybe if I do he'll go tell Niall and he'll be afraid of me again. " When I moved out, he moved away." I lied. His smile grew bigger. "So that means you two can be together." He said hugging me. I pushed him off.

"Harry, things aren't gonna happen that easily. I mean, we both grew up, changed. We could be not into each other anymore." I said. "You don't like him anymore, do you?" He said, his facial expression had changed.

"I'm not saying that. But, Harry." I paused. "I haven't seen him in two years, two years. He might be the same as before. But I can tell you this, Harry. I'm not same.. At all." I whispered. "Ella, he's loved you from the beginning. I'm sure he'll love you whether or not you've changed. Please, you have to speak to Niall. He- he's broken without you." He said.

"Are you sure?" I whispered playing with my fingers. He lifted up my chin.

"Positive." He whispered.

"I-I guess, we could arranged something." I said uncertain. "YES!" He yelled hugging me. "Not today though, I'm not ready today." I said. "That's fine. How about tomorrow. Can I bring him here tomorrow?" He said quickly. "Yeah- uh. That's perfect." I smiled up at him.

"Thank you, Ella. I'll see you tomorrow." He said backing away. "Yeah." I waved him goodbye. Jake came in the back.

"Ok, can you please explain to me what just happened?" He asked. "Harry, he wants me to meet back up with Niall." I said motionless. "Are you?" He asked. I nodded slowly.

"That's great!" He said hugging me.

I shook my head no.

"What, why?" He said quietly.

"How am I going to tell him about my dad." I paused.

"He's gonna be afraid of me, he might think I'll kill him." I said.

"No, he's not. Everything's gonna be fine." He said.

"I'm not telling him. I'm not risking anything." I whispered.

"Ella-"

"I'm not."
