monday, spring break!!

i shot up from my sleep as my alarm blasted in my ear. i checked my phone to see no texts from anyone, not even duke. okay. i decided not to text him first because he might still be sleeping. i decided to get up and do my routine and put on my clothes for the day. i wanted to go shopping for some more clothes also.

was around the time where duke was waking up. a few minutes passed by, still no text. weird asf. i didn't think too much about it so i headed out and went in my car and listened to frank ocean. after a few songs, i finally arrived. i got some crop tops, bras, panties, perfume, etc.

i headed to my car and as i tried to open the door, kai stopped me.
cat - oh hey kai what ar-
kai - cat you didn't hear this from me but duke is using you. for your body. you were just a bet to him. im so sorry. he said cutting me off.

my smile faded as the words replayed in my mind

as i was slowly getting emotional. my thoughts were interrupted by kai repeatedly calling my name.

kai - cat?
cat - yeah um thanks for telling me. i smiled weakly.
kai - im so sorry, duke can be an asshole. im taking a break from talking to him but if you ever need me for comfort, you have my number.
cat - okay thanks. i quickly got in my car.

as im driving back to room, tears start trickling down my face. i was a fucking idiot for trusting him. i should've listened to myself when i said ill never seen myself being with him. he was a fuck and dip dude. just like everybody else i dated. i finally arrived back home, i got out my car and slowly put my key in and walked in. i flopped on my bed looking at the ceiling. i went on my phone and blocked duke on everything. i didn't wanna stay at home and feel sorry for myself. i wanted to go out and forget everything that happened. there was a kickback tonight at another frat house at 9 pm. it was only 3 so i decided to take a nap.

8:24.

i woke up and looked at the time. it was almost time for the kickback so i decided to get ready and freshen up a bit. i did my lash extensions, makeup, and put on a cute lil simple outfit.

i didn't have any friends yet, well not real friends. i just attended everything by myself cus fuck it. i arrived at the kickback and the first person i seen was dukes fatass and kai ofc.  fucking great. he spotted me and i quickly looked away and got a drink. i seen a girl with long braids with curly hair. she was pretty and she must have been shy because she wasn't talking to anyone. i smiled her and she quickly smiled back. i went up to her and asked if she was okay.

cat - hey! are you okay? i asked.
?? - hey! im okay and you're beautiful. can i have your instagram.
cat - sure! i said quickly pulling up my ig.
?? - what's your name? she slightly yelled over the loud music.
cat - cat, what's yours? i yelled.
?? - tana, tana ruby. she said calmly when the music turned down.
cat - that's pretty. i love it. i smiled
tana - thank you so much. she returned the smile back.

my smile faded as i seen duke came up to get a drink from the fridge. i looked the other way as i could feel his eyes burning into my skin. i turned to tana and started continuing the convo.

duke - yo. he said putting his cup down
cat - tana let's go to the living room. i said completely ignoring him.
she nodded and we headed to the living room to
continue the convo without dukes bitch ass in my
face.
tana - was duke talking to you?
cat - yea yk him? i asked sipping the hennessy in my cup.
tana - yeah he's a bop. she shrugged
cat - not fucking surprised. i rolled my eyes.

-duke pov
i seen her walk away with tana completely ignoring me. fucking bitch. she just gonna walk away while im talking to her. i was drunk off hennessy i wasn't even in control of myself.  i was all in my feelings about kai and cat. i did something so fucking dumb.

-cat pov
as i was talking to tana, in the corner of my eye i seen duke speed walking towards me. he grabs my wrist and doesn't let go of his grip and drags me outside.

cat - duke what the fu-

i was cut off by him connecting his hand to my face slapping me. duke had literally hit me in my face.
i started crying immediately getting up from the grass and backing away from him.

duke - fuck im so sorry cat, i didn't mean to hit you. he said completely changing the tone in his voice to sorrow. i didnt say anything i just walked away really fast. i was scared. i didnt know what to do. i left tana by herself and i was too scared to even go back. i cant believe duke would even put his hands on me. and for what? i ran till i arrived back at my room. i cried and cried til my head was pounding. my phone dinged with notifications from people. mattia, tana, kai.

i honestly lost all respect for mattia after what he did. i didnt even know why he was texting me in the first place. i put my phone down and cried in my pillow until i heard a knock.
