i felt like i just got half of my stomach taken out of me. i fell to the ground and i was bleeding out. i got shot. for the first time in my life. then suddenly, all i saw was darkness. i felt nothing. i felt like no one.
i woke up with a headache and i was in a hospital. i rubbed my eyes and my stomach was flat. did my baby die? did they remove him from my stomach? i was curious. i was staring at the ceiling until a nurse came in. he was skinny and had slicked back hair.
nurse payne- you're finally awake! i'm nurse payne how are you feeling?
cat - i feel alright. where's my baby? and how long have i been in this coma?
nurse payne- well unfortunately, the baby died when you were shot. and you've been sleeping in your coma for 6 months.
cat - what? what state am i in?
nurse payne - you're in florida. he smiled.
cat - i can't believe this. where's kai?
nurse payne - kai?
cat - my boyfriend. has he been here?
nurse payne - no honey i'm sorry. there's no one named kai that came to visit you.
cat - oh. i looked down
i was hurt at the fact he didn't see me. maybe he didn't want a girlfriend in a coma for 6 months. i didn't know where i was gonna go. or what i was gonna do after i get discharged from the hospital. i was scared and lonely now that i lost my baby.
nurse p - cat? did you hear what i said?
cat - oh no sorry what was it?
nurse p - i said tomorrow you get discharged. do you have anywhere to stay?
cat - oh yeah yes. i fake smiled.
nurse p - okay good. i'll let you rest. press the button if you need anything, alright?
cat - okay. thanks. i smiled.
i went on my phone and seen tons and tons of notifications from all my friends. and from kai i seen 100+ texts. ones from today. he said:
i know you're probably sleeping right now, but im currently on a plane to florida to see you and hopefully take you home when you wake up. i missed you so much, i love you a lot. and if you're wondering how you made it all the way in florida, your friends came and got you. i'll explain the rest when i see you. i love you so much. -kai
i teared up a bit at the message. it felt good knowing he was coming. i missed him a lot.
- the next day
i woke up with 2 people talking outside the door. and then when the door opened, there was kai.
cat - kai! i ran up and hugged him tight.
kai - hi baby. are you okay? do you feel better?
cat - yes! i missed you. i missed him
kai - i missed you more love.
we took the elevator downstairs so i can get checked out. we finally left and it felt good to be outside. we hopped in the car and drove and drove until we made it to a luxurious house.
cat - who's house is this?
kai - ours. he smiled
cat - what? no way.
kai - i'm serious
cat - this is crazy. i love you. i laughed
kai - cmon let me show you inside the house.
the house was big, spacious.
kai - you like this one? it's not the one in las vegas, it's much better.
cat - i never lived in las vegas?
kai - you don't remember you got kidnapped and taken to las vegas? he looked concerned.

3rd pov: in that moment he realized cat had lost part of her memory.
kai - cat you lost your memory.

cat - oh my goodness. this is too much. when did this happen? i teared up
kai - about 7 months ago. it's okay. it's all over now. dukes dead, your friends are still alive. would you want to move back to la?
cat - yes yes i do. i wanna see my friends.
kai - okay. i'll see what i can do love.
cat - im really sleepy.
kai - go upstairs and get some rest i'll be up in a minute.
cat - okay. i got up and walked upstairs
i got in a big queen sized bed and covered up and fell asleep.
