i'm now 7 months with my baby and duke is still in jail. i visit him from time to time now. it still rubs me the wrong way that he's not here for me and the baby. i was laying in bed when i got a call from an unknown number. i answered and didn't talk at first then i heard a familiar voice speak up.
kai - is this cat?
cat - kai? is that you?
kai - cat! where have you been? it's been months.
cat - oh i..
kai - tell me
cat - duke took me and now im in las vegas and 7 months pregnant. i said in one sentence.
kai - are you serious? he paused for a moment.
cat - yes. i'm so sorry i disappeared, but he made me delete all of my messages and contacts.
kai - so no one is there with you and the baby?
cat - well the maid esmeralda is here. but i don't think she likes me anymore. i sighed.
kai - what's your address?
cat - 1872 Rose lane las vegas, nevada.
kai - i'll book a flight right now okay.
cat - okay let me know when you get here so i can give you access to the gate

fast forward to kai arrival.
i heard a knock on the door and esmeralda went to open it.
esmeralda - who are you?
kai - oh im kai. im here to take care of cat and the baby
esmeralda - does duke know you're h-
cat - kai! i ran up to him and hugged him
kai - hey cat. wow your belly is getting bigger. he said rubbing it.
cat - i know im so ready to meet him or her.
kai - you haven't went to get an ultrasound yet?
cat - no i been so stressed out with duke and ev-
esmeralda - and what is he here for exactly? she cut me off
cat - oh did he not just tell you?
esmeralda - but it's dukes baby not his. she said facing me.
cat - well actually it's my baby too. so i think i have the right to choose who i want it to be around.
esmeralda - yeah okay. she said walking away.
kai - she seems nice. he laughed
cat - she's a bitch i'll tell you that. cmon let's go upstairs.
kai - this place is huge. i never knew duke had a double life.
cat - me either. i said opening the door.
kai - so have you been visiting him?
cat - occasionally. probably once a week i either call him or see him. i said laying down.
kai - oh. when are you getting your ultrasound?
cat - i just told you kai. laughed
kai - when would you wanna go?
cat - probably the weekend.
kai - okay i'll make you an appointment.
cat - thank you, now come with me so i can show you where you'll be sleeping. i said getting up
kai - okay.
cat - so this is your room. get nice and cozy. i said pointing at a master bedroom.
kai - do you think duke would know about this?
cat - i hope not. i sighed
