cat - see. i showed him all the tests with double lines in the center.
duke - itll be okay. do you wanna have the baby?
cat - yes i do. i said as my voice cracked
duke - its gonna be okay. we'll be good parents. he smiled rubbing my back.
cat - i know. i said wiping off my tears
duke - hey how about you rest. and when you wake up maybe we'll go out to eat, yeah?
cat - okay that sounds good. i smiled.
duke - good.
i went back into my bedroom and laid down and looked at the ceiling. i couldn't believe that i was pregnant. soon all my thinking resulted napping. i haven't gotten any rest because i been constantly throwing up back to back.
duke - baby? he said shaking me.
cat - hmm?
duke - did you still wanna go out to eat? or order something? he asked sitting down on my bed.
cat - can we order something please.
duke - sure. what did you want?
cat - you already know.
duke - okay. i'll come back in when it's here. he said almost walking out
cat - wait, can you cuddle with me please?
duke - of course. he came back in my bed big spooning me.
cat - im a little scared of having this baby.
duke - everything's gonna be fine. you're gonna be the best mom ever. and we won't have any financial problems because of me.
cat - are you sure? i asked turning facing him.
duke - im sure. he smiled.
cat - okay. i gave him a peck on the lips.
duke - our food's here, let's go eat.
we walked downstairs and we opened our stuff when esmeralda stopped me.
esmeralda - duke told me you're having a baby, congratulations!
cat - thank you esmeralda. i really appreciate everything you done for me. i smiled at her
esmeralda - you're welcome sweetie. she smiled back.
- 3 months later
my stomach was getting bigger everyday. duke was always there every step of the way too. i was happy and pregnant. we were eating dinner with esmeralda when we heard a bang at the door.
cat - were you expecting company? i asked putting down my fork.
duke - no? let me see who it is. he got up to answer.
? - duke dennis, you are under arrest for drug trafficking and drug possession of marijuana, methane and other substances. anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of law. if you do not have a lawyer, one will be appointed to you. they yelled.
cat - what?! no this can't be right. i yelled
duke - no, you can't arrest me i have a baby on the way. he said fighting the cops
cat - baby it's okay. don't fight them. i'll do everything i can okay. i said starting to cry
cops - watch his head. they said as they pushed him head down into the car.
duke - i love you baby. he said outside of the door
cat - i love you m- i tried to get out but they sped away.
esmeralda - it'll be okay. she said almost crying
cat - im scared. i cried in her arms as we sat on the big steps infront of his mansion
