This current year, PT Bantargara faced new challenges in activities, systems, and leadership after Ganto resigned from his director position to run for Vice Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jayapatih. Ever since his departure, Bantargara has cycled through five different directors due to their inefficiencies.
The most recent incumbent is Banyusurya, who also chose Atirbachman as his deputy director. During this period, the company experienced significant drawbacks in productivity, particularly in research and development (R&D). Lobertari, who was previously the head of R&D, had much of her work halted and obstructed due to these unnecessary shuffles, new leadership, and overall inefficiencies.
At one point, Kalindi was appointed director by Petjaja. However, she failed to impress stakeholders and meet financial targets, leading to her dismissal by Petjaja. During Kalindi's tenure, Lobertari served as the head of R&D. After Kalindi was demoted to Head of R&D, Lobertari was reinstated as Deputy Head of R&D. This constant reshuffling of leadership roles has created a challenging environment for employees like Lobertari, who struggle to maintain productivity amidst the instability.
"Bapak itu kurang sadar ya, memang kurang sadar sejujurnya! (In Bahasa Indonesia: You are beneath yourself, sir, I must say so myself!)" Kalindi argued with Banyusurya.
"Dan anda akan disangksi, Nyonya Kalindi, keluar! (In Bahasa Indonesia: And you are sanctioned, Ms. Kalindi, get out!)" Banyusurya called out.
Kalindi left her hefty tasks for Lobertari's table. "Ana ndak punya waktu untuk temui deadline—lu kerjain deh! (In Bahasa Indonesia: I don't have the time to meet the deadline—do you what you must!)" she said and left.
"Apakah semuanya baik-baik saja dengan Noni Kalindi (In Bahasa Indonesia: Is everything alright with Noni Kalindi?)" Budiman asked Lobertari.
"Saya kurang tahu sih. Untuk menerima perhentian dan penurunan jabatan, itu tidak mudah untuk sebagian orang (In Bahasa Indonesia: I wouldn't have much to say. To accept suspension and demotion, it is not easy for most people)" Lobertari said.
"Lan dulu ketua Divisi Penelitian dan Pengembangan saat Noni merupakan Direktur Utamanya (In Bahasa Indonesia: You were head of RnD when she was the director)" Budiman said. "Apakah Lan... tidak puas waktu anda diturunkan juga? (In Bahasa Indonesia: Aren't you... displeased you were demoted back to vice too?)"
"Budiman, Budiman, bung (In Bahasa Indonesia: Budiman, Budiman, dear)" Lobertari charmed. "Untuk saya, jabatan itu hanya sebuah jabatan saja. Saya tidak terlalu khawatir dengan penghasilan tinggi, selama saya masih bisa meneliti, dengan yang saya memiliki (In Bahasa Indonesia: To me, a role is a mere title. I don't concern much about higher earnings, as long as I am still able to do research, with what I currently have)"
"Dan untuk dihentikan dan diturunkan, anda tidak khawatirpun? (In Bahasa Indonesia: And to be suspended and dismissed, you are not fearing?)" Budiman followed.
"Gak untuk sekarang sih. Negara kita, bahkan negara luar, butuh pikiran pemuda yang berbakat (In Bahasa Indonesia: Not for now, I believe. This country, even so others, would need talented young minds)" Lobertari said. "Jika kamu terlalu khawatir untuk saya, tenang, saya gak kemana-mana kok (In Bahasa Indonesia: If you are concerned about me, don't worry, I am not going anywhere)"
"Eh, Lobertari (In Bahasa Indonesia: Eh, Lobertari)" Banyusurya approached. "Apa-apaan ini? (In Bahasa Indonesia: What is this?)"
"Itu data yang memajang hasil untuk zat goo, Pak Banyusurya (In Bahasa Indonesia: That's data presenting the results for the goo, Mr. Banyusurya)" Lobertari informed.
