Minnie's POV
Crack!
My shot rang throughout the air, and I was quick to reload my rifle, steadying myself before looking through the scope and taking another shot.
Crack!
"Okay, we're good to go. You can just drive through the barrier now," I said, climbing back down into the car and holding on tight.
The car shook and rattled as Soojin charged through the wooden wall, but overall, came out with nothing more than a few scratches.
"Have you found which building they're in yet, Boss?" Soojin called from the front.
I looked over at Soyeon, who was on her laptop, typing faster than what I had assumed was possible. She simply shook her head, and I conveyed that to Soojin as the Korean tried to buy us more time.
"Minnie, get back to shooting, I've nearly got it," Soyeon quickly said, typing even faster.
I sighed and climbed back up, setting my rifle up as I looked around. I saw a helicopter with the rebel symbol flying overhead, so I began to line up my shot. Slamming the back of the rifle against my chest, I fell completely still before letting my shot lead the helicopter.
Clang!
It hit directly where the mechanism that spins the rotor blades is located, and the chopper began to make an abrupt descent. Eventually, it crashed into one of the burning buildings and exploded into flames.
"'Copter down!" I informed the two, looking around for anything else to shoot.
Looking through my scope, I could only see innocent civilians running around in terror, but not a single rebel was in sight.
"I finally did it!" Soyeon declared, her voice sounding as if a weight had been taken off of her chest. "I found where they've been hiding out all along. Soojin, make a left and drive as fast as you can, trust me."
Listening to the leader, Soojin did as told and turned left onto a road, stomping on the gas pedal as we propelled forward.
We were soon overtaken by fields as we left the city, rows, and rows of crops surrounding us before I saw what made my heart jump out of its chest. A mountain. We were driving toward a mountain.
"Soyeon, I know you're amazingly smart and all, but we're driving towards a huge wall of stone, and I don't want to go out by being flattened by a rock! Soojin, please be logical and stop the car!"
"Don't you dare stop this car, Seo! It's an illusion, I promise you! Do not listen to Minnie."
Soojin stayed silent and just drove at the wall full speed. I began to scream and held onto the car seat for dear life.
Why is this how I have to die? Why can't I die by the girl I love? Of course Soyeon has lost her mind and Soojin is just following her like a fucking pussy—.
The car whizzed right through the stone wall, the illusion quickly falling as Soojin slammed on the brakes and we came to a stop.
"Minnie! Get up there and start shooting! We're surrounded!" Soyeon barked, and I quickly followed despite still being in a daze.
Of course I was wrong.
"You know, if you guys didn't overlook Miyeon's ability in fighting, she would be here to deal with the mass amount of enemies and be able to easily take them out with a single bomb," I reminded them as I set myself up.
"Now is not the time, Minnie! Soojin, get your ass out there and start fighting them! None of them have guns, we caught them off guard!" Soyeon directed and Soojin was very quick to follow, attacking the first guy she could.
