“Are you damn serious at all, Kim?” A voice spoke loudly behind me, and I let out a sigh, took a sip of my scotch, and once again peered out the window before turning to face the speaker.

My youngest cousin, whom I could call cousin, Jung Noah, walked into my office.

Luna sent me a glance, wondering if she would allow my cousin to approach me, and I nodded at her before turning to face my cousin.

Noah stopped her feet as she got close to Luna, she took her black card out of her purse and presented it to Luna. “I was taken aback by his Instagram post and unintentionally broke a glass on the bar table, so, I would like to make up for the loss,” Noah said in a sweet, condescending tone while pointing at me.

“Oh, okay—” Luna murmured and Noah grabbed Luna’s hand, put the card in her palm then moved to face me.

“Are you insane?” Noah inquired in a high-pitched voice, sounding incomprehensible to my ears, as she swiftly stood in front of me. “Is her death something you want?” Noah’s blue eyes lost their sparkle, and concern clouded her face.

I motioned for Luna to leave the room, and she immediately followed my order. “No, I want her to know how to survive here in the world.” I quietly corrected her.

“Taehyung, you have openly challenged every Bratva member and put Amelia’s life at risk by declaring that she is the queen,” she said in a scared voice, well aware of the potential consequences for my wife at this point.

“Her life would have been in more danger if I hadn’t disclosed that she is the queen, then the bastard you love deeply had intended to kill her tonight,” I explained the conversation to her and watched her response as I sipped my scotch.

“That’s not something Jimin can do—” Her expression was cloaked in something akin to terror; all the beauty in her eyes vanished within a single minute, and she shook her head, gazing directly into my eyes as though she had no belief in anything I had said. “He’s not like you—”

“Indeed, he is nothing like me, in fact, he is far worse than I am, but you aren’t ready to embrace this fact, Noah.” without any hesitation, I attacked only where I knew she would be sensitive. “I am not a pet dog that belongs to its father and barks when he tells it to.”

She bit her bottom lip firmly with her teeth as tears welled up in her eyes, trying desperately to stop them, and inhaled deeply before saying, “Taehyung! Even though you are aware of his reasons, you continue to say—”

“Of course. To preserve his father’s honour, who, while under the influence of alcohol, impregnated a well-known actress his son’s age,” I said quietly, but I was fully aware of how much my words were hurting her. “But before he wed Jenny and bestowed his name to her father’s child, did he ever think about you, who offered him her position without even thinking twice?”
