And there Amelia Giulia Romano is back.
For the second time, she escaped the grasp of death.
Although she has lost the last one year of her life, her caustic personality cannot be altered by anything.
I lowered myself towards her and paused a few inches from her face. A dark shadow obscured her green eyes, her lips parted, and she let out a tiny sigh. She was attempting to avert her face away from me, but I placed my forefinger under her chin and made her stare directly into my eyes.
“Good,” I whispered as I pressed my leather thumb against the bruise on the corner of her lips, and she gasped in anguish. “That will benefit us.” she cast a glance at me with deadly intensity, and I immediately moved away from her, burying the dark desires that were swirling around me.
I walked out of her room as I felt trapped thinking about breathing the same air as her.
I stuffed my hands in my pants pockets and headed down a long hallway that was pitch-black due to the evening light. I made my way to the stairs when Luna leapt out the window and entered the hallway. “Chief—” she gave me a nod of greeting and stepped in stride with me.
“Have you completed your task?” I questioned, casting my gaze towards her.

“Yes, I have successfully fixed laser illumination in Amelia’s room. Anyone who is struck by one of its rays will instantaneously pass away from cardiac arrest,” she replied in a mechanical voice, her emotions had died from all the suffering she had suffered over the years.
I nodded. “Anything else, Luna?”
“Yes, chief…” She scoffed before turning to face me. “Despite suffering at Lev’s hands, Hyeon is unwilling to reveal what Amelia’s mother and sister said to Amelia in the hospital room.”
My jaw tightened, I wanted to kill him and rip him into a million tiny pieces. “Where is he currently?”
“In the torture room.”
“Turn him back to our side. He is aware of many secrets which, if discovered, could cause problems.”
She paused for a second, then replied, “But how? He’s ready to sacrifice his life but won’t say anything—”
