Chapter 14 Party Time
Alex came out of her room in a blue halter top dress with an open back. There was a slit up to her thigh. She grabbed one of her daggers and strapped it to her thigh. Her long blonde hair was curled.
'I'm outside.' Azar said as she grabbed her glass of wine, taking a sip from it. Alex stepped onto the balcony to find Azar sitting on the railing. Alex saw the huge tent set up outside. Azar lowered his head. Alex came up to him and placed her hand on his nose. 'I'm just making sure your alright, Green Eyes.'
'I'll be fine, Azar. I got Bodhi and Xaden.' Alex said. Azar lets out a huff, but Alex rubs his nose.
"Lex?" Bodhi called as the door opened. Alex moved away from Azar and went back in her room. Azar took off as soon as the door was closed. Bodhi stood in a short sleeved button down shirt with black pants. His eyes lit up at the sight of her. "You look gorgous." He pulled her into a kiss.
"Hello, handsome." Alex said with a smile. Bodhi ran his hand down her back.
"I want to rip the dress off you." Bodhi whispered against her lips.
"Mmm. Maybe you can later tonight." Alex said. Bodhi smiled as a knock on the door came. Xaden popped his head in.
"You two ready to go?" Xaden asked. Bodhi held out his arm and Alex gladly took it after she finished off her wine.
"Let's get this over with." Alex said. They stepped in the hall. Xaden looked good in a long sleeved dress shirt and black pants. "Why don't I walk out on both your arms." Xaden chuckled.
"You really want to push some buttons, don't you." Xaden said, but he held out his arm for Alex and she took it.
"Maybe just a little." Alex said. The three walk down the stairs. "Its all going to be outside. The weather is gonna be warm." People were already heading out, all dressed nicely. Xaden and Bodhi looked uncomfortable. Alex squeezed their arms gently as they head outside and follow the crowds to the huge tent. They stepped in and heads turned. Some whispers came and Alex ignored them. People seemed to move when they reconized who Xaden is. He pressed his lips together. Melgren was standing talking with one of his Generals.
'Ready for the shit show?' Azar said.
'Ready as I'll ever be.' Alex said as her father turned. His eyes widen in surprise to see Alex on Xaden and Bodhi's arms.
"Father." Alex said. Rage filled his eyes and Alex was surprised that he kept his face calm. His eyes weren't on Xaden but Bodhi.
"What's he doing here?" Melgren asked, looking at Bodhi. Bodhi kept his head high.
"He's here with me. You said I could bring someone." Alex said with her chin held high. Melgren had a vein almost pop, but his face remained calm.
"I heard your a rider now, Alexandra. And your under Xaden Riorson's wing." The General said.
