I walked into the cave, which was pitch black despite the daylight outside. The flames around me illuminated a few feet from me in every direction, but it faded as I calmed down. The anger was soon replaced with confusion.
Shinimari said he was supposed to send me here once I unlocked whatever this gold fire was. But what the hell was I supposed to do?
Before I could start thinking about an answer, a blast of golden fire flew towards me. I was prepared to kick the flame away, but instead it almost seemed to stop in midair and turn into a golden knife. The dagger continued moving towards me, and impaled itself into my unexpecting shoulder.
For a moment, it stung as I expected a blade to, but then my entire shoulder burst into the gold
flame, but I couldn't control this one. The flame burned like hell, even worse than normal fire, and I've been burned before. It felt like my skin was shriveling up, and my arm was being squeezed into nothingness. Eventually, everything from my shoulder down went numb. I was afraid to look, but I already knew what had happened. My entire left arm was gone. Even the pain receptors in my shoulder had been burned away, meaning I felt nothing. The wounds themselves had been seared closed by the heat.
Who was powerful enough to do this?
I looked up, and locked eyes with a woman. Her hair was just as silver as mine, and a gold flame twinkled in between her fingers. It continuously shifted from fire to a gold dagger, like the one that had taken my arm off.
"Welcome to Hell Mr Chosen One."
Then everything went black when she punched me in the face.
