When I woke up, I was tied to a chair. Scratch that. I was chained to a chair. The woman sat across from me, staring intently into my eyes.
"Get out of the chair."
"Who are you?"
"A teacher. Get out of the chair."
"How do you expect me to do that with only one a-" When I pulled at the chain, I realized I could feel my arms. Both of them.
"I see you know less about your powers than I thought. But we both know you could get out of those chains now if you wanted. Do it."
I stared back at her, wondering how much more she knew about me than I did.
Focusing, I tried to summon my ice powers. Instead, my hands burst into gold flame. The chains almost instantly evaporated. In fact, I had to jump up to avoid burning away with the chair.
"Good. Now we can begin."
Then she punched me again.
