Chapter - 12

At Office:

The office was unusually quiet, with everyone engrossed in their work. Yoongi and Sumi were also busy with their tasks, but Yoongi couldn't shake off a nagging feeling in his mind – the silence in the office. Since he arrived that day, there was an eerie calmness that enveloped the surroundings.

Yoongi: Sumiaa, isn't the office unusually quiet today?

Sumi: Yes, Hyung, you're right. But what's the harm? It's good to have some peace.

However, Yoongi couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling in his mind. A thought lingered: 'Is this calm before the storm?'

Yoongi had just been thinking about Mr. Choi entering through the front door when his gaze landed directly on Yoongi. 

Mr. Choi approached Yoongi's desk and handed him a black file, saying, 'Mr. Min, take this file to Miss. Lee on the 45th floor.'

Yoongi - Yes, Sir. 'Then, hesitantly and in a somewhat trembling voice, he asked, 'S-Sir, are you referring to the Boss's secretary, Miss. Lee?'

Anyone could tell from Yoongi's demeanor that he was almost petrified.

Mr. Choi - Mr. Min, did you perhaps indulge in some early morning intoxication? As far as I know, Miss. Lee Si-hyung is the only one in our entire company, and she is indeed the Boss's secretary!'

 Mr. Choi's statement was delivered with quite a dramatic flair.

Yoongi's entire body felt like it had frozen in ice.

Mr. Choi - Mr. Min, Mr. Min????? After calling Yoongi's name four times, Mr. Choi pushed Yoongi's body with a little force, and Yoongi came back to life, albeit slightly.

Yoongi - Ye-y -Yes, Sir," he stammered slightly, visibly shaken, and then quickly made his way out of there.

Yoongi's POV:

Upon hearing Mr. Choi's order, it felt as though my life had come to a halt; my entire body went numb, and I trembled. I couldn't comprehend what to do. I responded with a yes and quickly left the scene. Now, I'm heading to the Lion's Den; I'm unsure if I'll come out alive.

Then it struck me that entry into the Big Boss's cabin is restricted, so I won't have to go there. I'll simply deliver this file to Miss. Lee in their cabin and return.

With these thoughts in mind, Yoongi took a moment to gather himself and then headed towards Miss. Lee's cabin.

A/U- Will fate be on Yoongi's side? Absolutely not.

Lee's Cabin:

"Listen, I've ordered an important file from the Human Resource Department. When it arrives, send it to the Boss's cabin; I'll be there."

Employee: "Yes, Ma'am."

Hobi's POV:

Hobi: So noona, I had requested a file from the HR team. Has it arrived yet?

Lee-So: Yes, Boss, it's on its way with an employee. I instructed them to bring it straight here.

Hobi: Alright, let me know if there's anything you need to discuss.

Then, Lee-So and Hobi began discussing some business proposals.

Yoongi's POV:

As I reached their door to deliver the documents, I heard a faint "come in," so I entered. However, Miss Lee wasn't there; instead, her assistant, Kim Jeny, was present.

Jeny: Are you from the HR team?

Yoongi: Yes, Ma'am. Miss Lee ordered a file, and I'm here to deliver it.
