Chapter - 13

At the breakfast table:

Jin: Come on, kids, finish your breakfast quickly. Both of you need to continue with your routines today.

Yeoni & Yoongi: Yes, Hyung!

They both sat down to have their breakfast. Yoongi's mind was more occupied with thoughts about yesterday's events than with breakfast or Jin and Yeoni's conversations. He hadn't slept well last night.

Jin: Yooni, what's wrong bun? Is everything okay?

Yoongi replied with a faint smile, "Yes, Hyung, everything's fine. I was just thinking about some leftover work from the office."

Jin said with concern, "It's good, bun. Work with dedication. You've got a great opportunity in such a big company. Don't let this opportunity slip away."

Then Jin turned to Yeoni, "Baby bun, when is your exam?"

Yeoni: "Hyung, it's in two months."

Jin: "Alright, if college ask for  fee, just tell them. It will be paid in next month."

That's when Yoongi's attention shifted back to the table.

Yoongi: "Hyung! I'll take care of it, why are you worrying so much?"

Yoongi is grateful to have Jin as a guardian, almost like a mother and father to him, but he feels bad when Jin spends his hard-earned money on both of them. Taking care of Yeoni is Yoongi's responsibility, first and foremost. 

(A/U -This is what Yoongi thinks, but the first right always belongs to the elder, which is Jin, and that will remain. Yoongi will have to understand this eventually, but can it happen without drama? NAH!)

Jin just looked at Yoongi, his gaze was enough to silence Yoongi instantly.

Yoongi immediately bowed his head and began finishing his meal.

Then Jin shifted his attention to Yeoni and asked, "Do you have any questions?"

Yeoni thought to himself, "I don't want to eat the pink slippers early in the morning."

Jin: "Are you saying something? He raised an eyebrow.

Yeoni: "No, Hyung, I am clear."

The rest of the breakfast was finished in complete silence.

At Office

Yoongi - Sir, how can you do this? I'm new to this department, how can you assign me to the boss's team?

Yoongi asked all this in a dispirited voice to his senior. A bombshell had exploded in Yoongi's day, right in the morning.

Mr. Choi - But when did I send you to that team entirely? You just have to go there when you're needed!

Yoongi - Sir, then how will I focus on my work?

Mr. Choi - Mr. Min, this order comes from above. My suggestion is for you to accept it without any argument, because otherwise, it won't be good for your future.

Yoongi took a long breath upon hearing this. He also knows that now nothing can be done, he had crossed the point of return.

Yoongi - Yes Sir.

Lee's Cabin

Lee-So - Jeny, call Mr. Min upstairs. We need to have a meeting with the UK branch. The boss needs a proper report from that branch."

Saying this, she stepped out of the cabin.

Jeny immediately followed the order and called Yoongi.

Jeny on call - Mr. Min, please come to Ma'am Lee's cabin today. You need to sit in my place today for some time.
