Chapter - 38

Hoseok's POV:

Today, I canceled a very important meeting just to come with Yooni to pick out engagement rings for Joon and Jin Hyung. And let me tell you, managing a three kids here isn't a joke! But this isn't the first time. I don't know what it is, but every time I see Yoon, the big devil inside me just disappears. Lately, I've realized that I can't live without these people anymore, especially Yoongi—Min Yoongi. Just seeing him makes my heart race, and all I want is to lay the happiness of the entire world at his feet.

I was lost in my daydreams when my phone rang. I quickly checked and saw it was a call from my Noona. Without wasting time, I answered, only to be greeted by a voice that could rival a DJ's volume.

Ji-eun: "Hooooooobaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Hobi: "Noona! Calm down, my ears are hurting!"

Ji-eun: "Listen, you crazy human! Si-Yong and I are both coming back in two days!"

Hobi: "That's awesome! Joon's engagement is coming up, and if you don't show up, he'll kick both of you out of his friends' list."

Ji-eun: "Since when did Kim Namjoon grow the guts to do that?"

Hobi: "Oh, he's got plenty of guts! Now hang up, I have something really important to do. Bye, love you, take care."

I ended the call, and just then, my eyes fell on a ring in the display case. It felt like my search of many years had finally come to an end. You might be wondering, "What search?"—how can a ring be part of such a long search? Well, ever since I realized that I can't live even a single moment without that person, I've been searching. And now, I won't delay any longer. After Joon's engagement, I'm going to propose to him.

I don't know what the answer will be, but I've seen the love in his eyes—the kind of love that would fight the world for me.

Without wasting much time, I went to buy the ring, but my eyes kept a close watch on the three boys. If they got even a single scratch, Jin and Joon would surely kill me.

Once my purchase was complete, their shopping also came to an end. I carefully hid the ring in my suit pocket. I haven't told anyone about this yet. It's not that anyone would be against us, but I want to tell Yoongi first.

Author's POV:

Lost in his thoughts and plans, Hobi gathered everyone and set off for home. On the way, JunJun fell asleep in Hobi's arms, while Jimin and Yoongi dozed off with their heads resting on Jin's shoulder. Joon drove them all back to Jin's house. Once they arrived, Jin, Joon, and Hobi gently carried the three boys to bed.

Joon and Hobi went into the same room after putting the kids to sleep. As Joon glanced over at Hobi, he asked, "Hoba, are you staying here tonight?" But Hobi's full attention was on the sleeping Yoongi.

Joon smiled as he looked at Hobi and said, "It's true what they say—sometimes, a pure soul can change even the biggest of monsters. It's like it was just yesterday, we were lost, doing whatever we wanted, like aimless devils. Then, like a light, these people came into our lives and completely transformed our world."

Hobi's attention finally shifted back to Joon, and with a smile, he said, "You're right. I didn't even notice when RM turned into Appa. By the way, Joon, let me tell you something—you're truly a father figure to these three now. Whether anyone else stays by their side or not, you should always be there for them."

Hearing this from Hobi made Joon happy but also deeply emotional.

After sharing this moment, the two friends went downstairs, where Jin immediately ordered Hobi to stay over. (A/N: Well, of course, Jin gave him an order. After all, not only is he Hyung, but he's also Yooni's  Eomma! Hahaha, scaredy-cat devil.)
