Chapter - 37

At Yeoni's Study Room:

Hobi was fully focused on teaching Yeoni when, suddenly, the door burst open with a loud noise. A furious Yoongi stormed in and sat down on the bed next to Hobi. Both Hobi and Yeoni's attention immediately shifted to Yoongi. After a moment, Hobi asked, "Yooni, what happened? Why do you look so angry?"

Yoongi, still fuming, replied, "Who does she think she is? She's shorter than me, and she dared to lie to me?" Hobi felt his throat go dry as he tried to come up with an excuse, but before he could say anything, Yoongi continued, "Wait a minute, you went to pick them up, right? What happened outside? Why is Sumi's cheek swollen?"

For the first time in his life, Hobi was genuinely scared by someone's anger, so much so that he couldn't find the words to respond. He stammered, "W-well, on the way..."

Before Hobi could finish, Yoongi interrupted, "Tell me the truth—did you guys get into a fight?"

Hobi cut him off, saying, "Will you listen to me first?" Hearing this, Yoongi quieted down, ready to hear the full story. Hobi then recounted everything that had happened. After listening to the whole story, Yoongi said, "She's even more possessive and caring than I thought."

Hobi, smiling, replied, "Possessive is one thing, but she's no less than a mafia boss—she broke that girl's hand in one swift move."

Yoongi, with a serious tone, responded, "She deserved it. That girl has abused Jimin for far too long. Not anymore."

Yeoni, who had been listening quietly, then asked, "Hyung, can I go play with the other Hyungs?"

Seeing Yeoni's puppy eyes, Hobi smiled and said, "Alright, you can go, but be careful and don't play too rough."

Yeoni, overjoyed, kissed Hobi on the cheek, then gave Yoongi a kiss on the cheek as well, before happily running off to join the others.

Balcony Scene:

Ever since Jimin returned from outside, both Tae and Kook had been trying hard to understand his expressions, but it seemed impossible. Jimin appeared happy, sad, and even angry all at once. What was going on? Tae and Yeoni were both busy with their game when Jimin suddenly got up and walked out to the balcony, with Kook following close behind.

After a while, someone hugged Jimin from behind, wrapping their arms around his slim waist and resting their head on his shoulder. "Mini, did something happen? Why do you look so troubled?" Kook asked softly.

Jimin, responding quietly, said, "Kooki, today Sumi Noona got slapped because of me. But you know what? She broke that girl's hand and said, 'Park Jimin is my little brother. If you even look at him again, today I broke your hand, but tomorrow I'll tear it off and throw it away.'"

Hearing this, Kook was shocked. He quickly cupped Jimin's cheeks with his hands and asked, "Are you okay?"

Jimin replied, "Did you hear what I said? Kooki, now I have a real sister who cares about me."

Smiling, Kook said, "My Mini deserves all the happiness in the world."

Just then, Tae and Yeoni came over, pulling Jikook back inside to join the game.

Hobi's POV:

As soon as Yeoni left the room, my attention shifted entirely to Yoongi. He looked so cute, like an innocent child. I was lost in these thoughts when Yoongi suddenly said, "Sumi is so sweet and beautiful, yet Mr. Kim lost her! Is true love something that can never be found?"

That question felt like a dagger through my heart.

But I hid my own pain deep within my heart and replied to Yooni, 'True love will always find its way to you when the time is right. It's just that sometimes, the first love doesn't always work out. We just need the strength to hold onto each other's hands, no matter how much the world is against us, and live a life that's like a slap in the face to those who were ever against us.'
