Author's POV:
Hoseok's life had flipped upside down in just one night. The person with whom he had dreamed of starting a new life was now the one he was running away from, the one he had become guilty in front of. What had been happening over the past few days was becoming unbearable for him. But what troubled him the most was that it was now affecting Yoongi. Lately, Yoongi had been eating less, sleeping less, and even smiling less. Hoseok didn't have the courage to face Jin, and all of this was eating him up inside.
On the other hand, Namjoon was worried about Jin. Even though everything seemed fine between them, Jin was unwilling to share what was bothering him. The way he kept avoiding Yoongi and Yeonjun's questions was painful for Namjoon to witness, as he knew Jin was breaking inside, fighting a strange fear. But Namjoon's biggest challenge was understanding what was going on in Hoseok's mind. Hoseok's sudden change in behavior, especially towards Yoongi, was becoming worse, and it was now starting to anger Namjoon.
The day before:
Namjoon had visited Hoseok's office for a meeting when he saw Hoseok holding a file, angrily yelling at Yoongi. When Namjoon asked Hoseok about it, Hoseok responded very casually, saying, "Namjoon, this is the office. Work comes above personal relationships. Whatever relationship we have, I can't let it affect the job. And Min Yoongi is my employee here, so our relationship should stay within the office."
This response shook Namjoon. He had seen love in Hoseok's eyes before, but now he was proven wrong. Namjoon couldn't stand seeing Yoongi suffer like this anymore. Hoseok might be his childhood friend, but Min Yoongi was like a son to him, an essential part of his family. If Yoongi broke, the family would break. That's why Namjoon had made a decision, one he had already shared with Jin. Jin had told him, "Namjoon, ever since he started calling you 'Appa,' he has given you that right. Do what you think is best for him. You have my full support."
At the Office:
A furious boss, angry for reasons unknown. A broken man, standing on the edge, barely holding on. And Sumi, torn between the two, trying to figure out whom to support, whom to console, and what exactly is even happening. She couldn't make sense of it.
Sumi's POV:
I don't understand why Hobi Hyung is so mad at Yoongi Hyung when it's not even his fault. Everyone knows this, so why doesn't Hobi Hyung see it? Could this be the reason Yoongi Hyung has been so troubled and unwell lately? It's like everything changed overnight since Jin Hyung's engagement.
What should I do? I was lost in these thoughts when a furious voice snapped me back to reality.
Hoseok: "Mr. Min! How many times? How many chances do you need to get a job done right? If something is beyond your control and you can't handle it, then maybe you should let go instead of dragging this whole show along."
Yoongi: "Trying is everyone's right, Boss, and no one can take that away. We don't know the outcome, but making an effort is within our control."
Hoseok: "Mr. Min, you seem to forget whom you're speaking to. Keep your voice and gaze down in my presence."
With that, he tossed the stack of documents in the air and stormed off, leaving a tearful Yoongi behind.
Without thinking, I rushed to Yoongi Hyung, helped him up, and took him away. After calming him down, I asked, "Hyung, what's going on?"
In a voice heavy with pain, he answered, "I don't know, Sumi. It feels like my whole life turned upside down overnight. What am I being punished for? Was I wrong to get close? What did I do to deserve this?"
