"We've been talking and come up with an idea. Take a seat Charlotte." My father speaks first.m
I sit on the couch opposite from my parents.
"Well we know you're getting bullied at school. So we put in an application to a public co-ed school....and..... you've been accepted!"
I just sit there staring at them for God knows how long. I've been waiting for this day for a few weeks now. School has been hell.
"Are you serious? Yes thank you so much."

I was honestly speechless. I never thought hey would let me into a public school, EVER! All my life I have been in private schools with snobby girls.
Going to a new school like this could mean, I could make a whole new chapter in my life. New friends. A school with boys. The best.

After dinner I had gone to bed and researched my school. It was a mufti school. We had 4 sessions a day.
I jumped off my computer chair and starting searching for clothes to wear. I picked out a pair of jeans and white t-shirt with a checkered flannel on top.

Monday morning. And I was so pumped. New school her I come. I quickly got dressed and tied up my converse. I left my hair out today. Something different. My hair is wavy, naturally, and to be honest I look good.
I ran down stairs grabbed a piece of toast and ran out the door. I caught the bus to school. I hoped on and everyone stared at me, I didn't know where to sit.
I decided to sit closer to the back of the bus. Where some boys, I'm guessing the cool kids, sat. They all looked at me except for one. He didn't look up from his phone. I couldn't make out what he looked like. But it seemed like he was shy or something.

I never mentioned I'm in Yr9. After going to the office signing in and getting my timetable I made my way over to my first class. As I was walking I ran into someone.
"Shit, my bad" a deep, raspy voice spoke. I looked up to meet the most beautiful eyes in the world. The were between hazel and brown. I always look at people's eyes to me they tell me everything I need to know. Are they sad. Angry. Happy. Confused....

"Hey" the voice pulled from my thoughts.
"I-I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there I was looking for my room" I frantically said.
He laughed. The best laugh ever, it was deep and gorgeous. Although I did think laughing. He's gonna be my bully. Damn it!
"It's all good, I probably should have called out or something" he said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'm Charlotte, in case you were wondering".
"Jake, Jake Edwards. What year are you in?" Jake asked. "Yr9, you?" "10, well I better get going. See you around Charlotte." Then he snaked his way through the crowded hall ways to his class.

I stood there for a while. Picturing him. His hair was cut into a quiff but gelled down to the side a bit. He's eyes were to die for. He has a perfect smile with shiny white teeth. He's just......ahhh.

First session was boring. It was maths and I absolutely hate maths. I'm good at it in class but put a test in front of equals mind blank. I will literally not remember anything. I'll answer about 10 questions and they will probably be guesses.

It's now recess and walks outside the cool air hits me in the face. I can here all the conversations going in the background and I have nowhere to go. I head down to the basketball courts and see Jake with all his friends. He has a lot. The boys do there hand shake thing whilst the girls just sit the chatting away.
Behind me is a group of people in my grade but I'm scared if I go up to them the will walk away.
By my luck someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around to meet a dark coloured person. She's a bit shorter than me more of an olive colour skin. She smiled showing dimples and all.
"Charlotte, right?" I nodded slowly. "I'm Joy. Come sit with us. This is Jason, Susanne, Liam, Claire, Kimiya, Atharva, Liliana, Milly and Isaac. Guys this is Charlotte." After her long speech I smiled and waved. They all did the same back and I was very shocked at how nice they were.
