In my head

Chapter 9

Today was Monday and time to go to school. I had grabbed my white jeans, and I pulled a soft pink  flannel over a white singlet. I grabbed my pink timberlands and walked up the stairs.

As I walked outside I shivered, I ran back downstairs and grabbed my Nike jumper. I pulled it over my head and made my way to the bus.

"hey" I heard someone say from the top of the hill. I looked up to see Aaron.

"Good morning, how was your weekend?" I asked cheerfully.

"Someone's in a good mood to be going to school" Aaron said as we started walking the rest of the way to the bus.

"I'm always in a good mood" I smirked.

He just laughed. We waited for the bus then hopped on. We got off the bus an walked through the gates. I was greeted by all my friends. They all admired my new clothes and then dragged me away.

"Ok, so it's my birthday this weekend and I'm throwing a little party for us girls" Joy said, sounding extra happy.

"Well I'm in" I said. Everyone cheered and we talked a bit more about it before it was time to go rollcall.

I felt bad I hadn't hung out with my friends for ages. This weekend was going to be fun, I'll make up for lost time. We planned we were going to make pizzas, watch movies and stay up till the next day.

During school Jake came over to me and asked if he could talk to me. I simply nodded and walked away from my group and somewhere quieter.

"This weekend I was wondering if-" he started, but I cut him off.

"I'm sorry I would love to. But I'm going to Joy's birthday." I said.

"Oh, nah, its cool. Have fun." he said, turning away.

I grabbed his arm to turn him around. I pulled him closer to me and whispered "don't be angry. I always hang out with you. What about Friday after school?" I asked.

"Sounds good to me". he whispered back. I pulled him closer to me and grazed my lips over his. "don't tease" Jake said. I leant in and pressed my lips to his. My stomach immediately filled with exploding fireworks.

JAKES POV

Her lips felt the same as the first time. The sparks between us were unbelievable. I've never felt this way about a girl. She still wouldn't give me entrance, I know she doesn't feel comfortable with that as we are only....actually I don't even know what we are. I asked her parents for permission to ask her to be my girlfriend and that's why I asked her if she was free this weekend. But I'm going to ask her Friday night, now.

We heard whistling and cheering from behind me. I pulled away and looked behind me whilst smirking. Charlotte kissed me on the cheek and walked away, leaving me standing there breathless. She's only shared 3 kisses if you include the peck I gave her on the weekend.

I was the boy who stole her first kiss. I walked back over to my friends and everyone gave me a pat on the back. I know we kissed in school, but she started it. I can't wait to ask her to be my girlfriend.

School was finally finished. This weekend was the beginning of the holidays. And I was going to spend the last day of school with Charlotte. I was so nervous to ask her, but I've been waiting.

CHARLOTTE POV.

When I got home I got dressed straight away into trackies and a sweatshirt with my ugg boots on my feet. I didn't feel like doing anything. I was so tired.
