Lana and Nathalie stood outside Lana's house, their excitement palpable as they waited for their new friend to join them. The sleek car they would take to the airport stood beside them, all their bags neatly packed inside.
Theo strolled down the street with his suitcase, his curiosity evident in his expression. "Okay, I made it. Do I get to know where we are going now?" he asked as he approached the girls.
After spending the week leading up to Monza with Theo, Lana decided to make a phone call to her brother and add him to their little party for the race weekend. They had been toying with the idea of letting him figure out Lana's connection to Charles Leclerc on his own, but since he hadn't caught on yet, they decided to have fun with it by keeping him in the dark about their destination.
"What's the fun in that?" Nathalie replied with a playful smirk, eyeing Theo before climbing into the car.
Lana chuckled and patted Theo's chest. "You'd know better than to think we would tell you," she teased before gesturing to the car. "Let's go."
Theo was thrilled about the trip and grateful for the warm welcome he received from Lana and Nathalie. They had been nothing but kind and inclusive, making him feel like part of their group from the start.
Packing had been a challenge, with Lana advising him to bring formal clothes and Nathalie insisting on workout gear. He chuckled to himself, amused by Nathalie's fondness for his athletic attire.
As they arrived at the airport, Theo's jaw dropped in awe at the sight of the private plane waiting for them on the tarmac. "A private plane?" he exclaimed, his excitement evident.
"She knows what's up," Nathalie shrugged casually as she boarded the plane, her familiarity with private travel evident. Theo could only nod in agreement, feeling incredibly lucky to be along for the ride.
An hour later, as they descended into Milan, Theo's eyes were glued to the window, taking in the sights of the new country with wonder.
Lana noticed his excitement and struck up a conversation. "You haven't traveled much, have you?" she asked, observing his reactions with amusement.
"Not really, Monaco was the first major place outside of Australia," Theo admitted, tearing his gaze away from the window for a moment.
"A travel newbie, huh?" Nathalie teased, earning a playful middle finger from Theo, which only made them laugh.
As they touched down in Italy, Theo's smile was infectious. "Are we in Italy?" he asked, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Very good," Lana replied with a smirk, sensing that Theo was starting to piece things together. When he mentioned the Monza Grand Prix, both Lana and Nathalie exchanged knowing looks.
"Very good, indeed," Nathalie chimed in, smirking as Theo's smile widened with realization.
Theo turned back to the window, his gratitude evident as he watched the plane land. He was thrilled to be embarking on this adventure with two amazing friends by his side.
After a smooth check-in at their hotel in Milan, Lana, Nathalie, and Theo made their way to their respective rooms to freshen up before dinner. As they entered their luxurious accommodations, each one marveled at the elegance and comfort of their surroundings. In Lana's room, she quickly unpacked her essentials and changed into a fresh outfit, feeling rejuvenated after the flight. She took a moment to admire the view of the city from her window before heading out to meet Nathalie and Theo.
Meanwhile, Nathalie wasted no time in settling into her room, tossing her bags onto the plush bed and stretching her arms above her head. She quickly freshened up and changed into something more comfortable, eager to unwind after the journey.
In Theo's room, he took a moment to appreciate the luxurious amenities, feeling grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful hotel. He unpacked his belongings and changed into a casual outfit, ready to relax and enjoy the evening with Lana and Nathalie.
Once they were all ready, Lana suggested ordering dinner in so they could enjoy a cozy evening in their hotel rooms. Nathalie agreed enthusiastically, already scrolling through the room service menu on her phone.
"I could go for some pasta," Lana suggested, browsing through the options on the menu. "What about you, Theo?"
Theo nodded in agreement. "Pasta sounds perfect to me. I've been craving some authentic Italian cuisine since we arrived."
Nathalie chimed in, "I'm down for pasta too, but let's make sure to order some extra garlic bread."
With their dinner choices settled, Lana picked up the phone to place the order, while Nathalie and Theo lounged comfortably in the room, chatting and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
As they waited for their food to arrive, Lana couldn't help but feel grateful for the company of her new friends. Despite the whirlwind of the past few days, she was looking forward to a peaceful evening in Milan, surrounded by good food and even better company.
