On this sunny Friday morning in Monza, Lana put the finishing touches of her outfit together. Her red boots added a bold pop of color to her sleek black ensemble, while her matching red accessories tied the look together. As she admired herself in the mirror, she heard loud knocks on the door, accompanied by familiar banter.
"Let me in, bitch!" came the voice from the other side, causing Lana to chuckle.
"Wait a fucking minute," Lana called out playfully as she approached the door, her red boots clicking on the floor.
As she flung open the door, Nathalie stood there with a grin, dressed in a similar outfit to Lana. Where Lana wore a black base, Nat opted for white.
Upon giving Nat a once over Lana proudly boasted, "Amazing style, twin," before bursting into laughter.
As Nathalie looked at what Lana was wearing, she joined in, her laughter echoing down the hallway. "Back at you, twin," she quipped, gesturing to her matching outfit as she made her way into the room and straight over to the minibar.
Just then, Theo's voice rang out from the doorway, making Nathalie jump slightly. "Aw, sweet!! Morning shots!!"
Lana chuckled as she stepped aside to let him in. "Didn't scare ya?" he teased, walking past Lana to join Nathalie at the mini-bar.
"She knew you were there," Nathalie replied with a smirk as she grabbed a couple of shot bottles from the fridge.
Theo shot Lana a puzzled look, to which she simply shrugged in response. "I suppose I'm going to be paying for those," she said with a playful grin, gesturing to the shot bottles in Nathalie's hands.
"That's so kind of you to offer," Nathalie quipped, winking as she handed Theo a shot and tossed one to Lana.
Catching the shot, Lana stepped closer to her friends, a smile playing on her lips. "To Monza," she declared, raising her shot bottle.
"To Monza!!" Nathalie and Theo chimed in unison.
But just as they were about to down their shots, Theo's voice interrupted them. "Wait, we're actually going?"
Lana met his gaze and winked mischievously before tossing back her shot, the warmth spreading through her chest as she savored the moment. Monza was waiting, and Lana was ready for whatever the day had in store.
"Paddock passes? You're insane!" Theo exclaimed, his excitement palpable as they entered the paddock.
"Just you wait, pretty boy," Nat replied with a playful pat on his back, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Theo's confusion grew as people started recognizing Lana, and approaching her for photos.
"Okay, what is going on?" he finally asked Nat as they waited for Lana.
"I told you to wait," Nat reminded him with a smirk.
Once Lana finished taking pictures with fans, the trio made their way to the Ferrari hospitality. Theo's head was spinning with everything happening at once, but he kept up, eager to see what was in store.
Reaching the top of the stairs to the roof of the hospitality, Lana quickened her pace as she spotted someone she recognized. "Mamma!" she exclaimed, rushing over to hug her mother.
"Oh, my Lana!" Pascale beamed, returning her daughter's hug warmly.
"Mamma?" Theo looked at Nat for clarification.
Nat smiled at him before walking over to join Lana and Pascale. "Hi, Mamma," she greeted Pascale with a hug as well.
"You two look gorgeous," Pascale complimented them, her eyes shining with pride.
Lana then introduced Theo to her mother. "Mamma, this is Theo," she said, gesturing to Theo and beckoning him closer. "He's new to Monaco, so I wanted to bring him along with us."
"What a handsome boy, come here now," Pascale said, opening her arms for a hug. Blushing, Theo obliged and hugged Lana's mother. "It's very nice to meet you, Mrs...," he started, then paused as he realized he didn't know Lana's surname. Pascale cut in, "Oh nonsense, call me Pascale."
"Pascale," he finished with a smile.
"It was nice of you to show up," a familiar voice teased from across the room.
Lana looked over with a playful smirk. "There's no track time on Thursdays, I didn't see a point in being here," she replied, pretending to examine her nails.
"Ah, I shouldn't be surprised," Charles chuckled as he approached.
"That's Charles Leclerc," Theo whispered to Nat in shock.
Nat chuckled and cleared her throat loudly. "I think it's time we fill buddy in before his head explodes," she said, gesturing to Theo.
"Theo, meet my mother, Pascale Leclerc, and my brother, Charles Leclerc," Lana introduced them.
Theo's jaw dropped in shock as he extended his hand to Charles. "Hi, it's so nice to meet you, mate," he said, his voice filled with awe.
Charles chuckled and shook his hand. "I'm guessing they didn't tell you any of this," he remarked with a knowing smile.
"They didn't even tell me we were coming to Monza," Theo replied, still trying to process everything.
"Lana!" Pascale scolded her daughter playfully, shaking her head.
"Nat was in on it too, we wanted to see how long it would take him to figure it out, but he never did," Lana defended herself.
"That is typical for you two," Charles said with a smile. "Hello, Nathalie," he brought her in for a side hug as she replied, "What's up, Leclerc," returning the hug.
So on that rooftop, Lana looked around at all the smiling and laughing faces of her given, chosen, and new family as they enjoyed their time together before the day of free practices. And even though they were countries away, Lana couldn't feel more at home, than being surrounded by these people she was lucky enough to call family.
