YOU'RE THE ONE By KAYTRANADA, Syd

After a long day of free practice, the trio walked through the paddock when they decided to go for dinner to end the night.

"Should we invite Charles to come with?" Lana casually asked her companions as they passed the Ferrari hospitality.

"You're just hoping he'll bring a certain Ferrari driver," Nat confronted her friend with an arched brow and pointed look.

"I don't have to hope, I know he'll come," Lana quipped without looking back as she veered off from her friends and aimed for the hospitality.

"What's that all about?" Theo questioned the blonde. "Our red friend has a little crush," Nat smirked while watching Lana walk off.

"Can't blame her," Theo replied as he too stood and watched Lana enter the hospitality.

"Hey Leclerc, dinner tonight," Lana briefed her brother as she passed him in the lobby.

"Huh? Where?" Charles questioned as he looked up from his phone to his passing sister.

"I'll text you," Lana replied from over her shoulder.

"Where are you going?" Charles asked now from across the room. His sister only replied with a smirk before disappearing down a hall.

"Who knew Mr. Chili would be one of the last at the track," Lana said from the doorway of Carlos' driver's room.

Slightly startled, Carlos looked up from the papers in front of him and smiled at the girl before him. "Winning takes work, mi amiguita."

Lana's face faltered for half a second before masking it. "We're going to Toscano tonight. You're invited."

Intrigued at the invite, Carlos leaned back on the couch, stretching his arms across the back. "I'm invited, huh? And why didn't you just text me?"

"Was passing by so thought I'd just come in," Lana said, now examining her nails.

"Mhm, and what if I'm too busy to come?" Carlos gestured to the papers in front of him.

"Winning may take work, but you've already done it. You've got this win in you," Lana replied, pushing off the door and walking away.

Lana exited the Ferrari hospitality and joined her friends who were standing right where she left them. "Wow, he finishes fast!" Nathalie quipped, looking at the watch on her wrist. "Not even 5 minutes," She shook her head in disappointment.

"He'll be finishing fast on Sunday," Lana replied as she linked arms with Nat and started walking.

"So uh, is he coming?" Theo questioned as he caught up to the girls walking.

"Yes," They both replied in unison.

At Toscano, the group settled into a cozy corner booth. The ambiance was warm, with dim lighting and the soft hum of Italian music in the background. They ordered a variety of dishes to share, creating a lively and communal dining experience.

"So Theo, you are dating little Leclerc, no?" Carlos interrogated the Aussie as he stole a piece of Lana's charcuterie.

Lana smacked his hand away as she noticed the ever-so-quick glance Theo sent in Nathalie's direction. Nat was so lost in her meal that she didn't even notice the conversation being held.

"One, get your own," Lana held her ground with a pointed look, "And two, if we were dating, you wouldn't have had to ask," She finished as she returned to her meal.

"What does that mean?!" Charles innocently asked from where he sat across the table. Lana only smirked at her brother as Nat finally chimed in from the head of the table, "Oh Charles, maybe when you finally get a girlfriend one day, you'll understand."

"Hey!" Charles looked offended at the blond.

"Charles? A girlfriend? You give him too much credit, Nat," Lana piped in.

"Hey!" Charles said again, this time at his sister.

Both girls shrugged, feigning innocence.

"You'll get there, my friend." Carlos patted Charles on the back before continuing, "Maybe not soon, but one day."

Everyone started laughing at that before throwing their apologies to a very offended Charles.

"I'll get there sooner than you," Charles rebutted to his friend.

Carlos threw a knowing look in return before returning to his food. Charles picked up what he was implying and made a mental note to question the Spaniard when they weren't in company.

"Lana, wait!" Nathalie called after her friend who had excused herself from the table the second Charles returned a look to Carlos.

Lana had made it all of five steps out of the restaurant before she heard the beckoning of her best friend behind her. "What?" Lana quipped as she continued her walk.

Nat matched pace with her as she challenged, "You know what, and you know I know what."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh come on, Lana," Nat begged.

Lana came to an abrupt stop. "You don't have to be a genius to know what that look meant. Even Charles got it," She pointed out to her friend standing across from her.

Both let out small giggles at that before returning to business.

"I couldn't sit there anymore, Nat."

"I know," Nat let her friend know she understood before continuing, "Now, let's go home, get comfy, and have a proper debrief about this," she held up her bag to signal to the redhead that she was ready to go. "How'd you know to bring your bag?" Lana questioned, with a proud look on her face as she crossed her arms.

"Took a page out of your book," Nat proudly replied as she linked her arm with Lana and the two happily walked arm-in-arm, away from the restaurant.

"You know, I'm just not going to stress over anything that's not even confirmed," Lana said from where the two lay in bed, eating snacks and "watching" a movie.

The two had been gossiping and chatting about the whole situation for an hour now, finally feeling satisfied enough to start watching the movie.

"Exactly," Nat agreed as she too, started watching the movie.

"I don't even understand why Theo wanted us to watch this movie anyway, the-" Lana began, confused about the plot of the movie. "Oh my god!! Theo!" The two realized in unison as they jumped up looking at each other.

"We forgot about Theo," Nat admitted as Lana agreed just as the door swung open revealing an unhappy Aussie.

"You two," He pointed at the girls, "Left me with those bimbos trying to figure out where you two went," He accused as he caught a glimpse of the movie playing on the TV, "Wait is that Happy Feet? Are you watching Happy Feet without me?!"

Lana only tapped the bed in response in a silent request for Theo to come watch with them. Theo slouched slightly, kicked his shoes off, and dragged himself over to the bed.

When all three were silently watching the movie, all exhausted from the day, Lana asked, "So, did they ever figure out where we went?"

"No."
