You sat down on some random broken piece of cement in what you finally learnt was the sewers (that explained the smell) moving your feet away from the gunk that fell through the sewers, especially after that recent giant dumpling explosion.

You sat in the corner away from what the others were talking about, waiting for them to be done with their business and get whatever the hell the demoness's henchmen dragged you here for.

Watching the demons talk amongst each other was rather boring, the information you gathered was just a tad bit useful if anything, some powerful weapon to help the spider Queen back on her throne from what was said (did you believe that to be the case? Not really).

Speaking of the Spider Queen...

"Speaking of revenge, what's up with quiet face over there?" She asked side eyeing you in a look that felt like it was out of confusion and judgement at why you were here in the first place.

The demonese spared a glance at you before focusing back on the Spider Queen.

"They are assisting us, in helping you gain your place back on the throne." She said her words for the demon being too sweet of a promise for how she acted towards others.

"I don't see how some human can be of any use." She said moving closer to the point she was glaring down at you seeming to try and scrutinise everything about you.

"Do not fret, they have their use in lending us a helping hand." Thed demoness said standing behind Spider Queen who huffed moving away from you, arms crossed as she looked back at the demoness.

"Fine, but I want to know what they're doing that could possibly help us." She said one of her mechanical legs pointing at you making you frown.

The demoness looked up, a slightly irrited yet unphased expression on her face.
"Of course." She turned back to you her gaze piercing yours.

"[Y/n], be a dear. Go wait outside." She stated her expression as cold as ever.

"Same goes for the rest of you!" Spider Queen said to her own Spider henchmen.

The four of you looked between each other a mutual agreement to just get out before facing the wrath of your bosses or Queen in their case.
You all exited the room going into the hallway/sewer system that led to the other rooms in this lair.

You had nothing to say, nor did you have any interest in exploring this place so whilst the other spider demons went off to do who knows what you sat on a cleaner area on the floor waiting for when you'd be called back in.

"Not going to explore?" Oh god dammit.

You said nothing giving a side glare at the man who'd dragged you into this whole mess to begin with.
The quote on quote 'mayor' of the city who was absolutely batshit insane, with the small time you interacted with him or saw him he was... a lunatic to put it.

He stared at you wide eye the big overly exaggerated cheerful smile on his face as he awaited a response from you.

Something you forgot to add, he was creepy as hell.

"...No." You were hoping he'd have the kindness (big doubt) that he'd get the fact you had no interest in interacting with him,

He stared down at you saying nothing making you more and more uncomfortable the longer he stayed silent and did nothing but stand there.

"You uh, just gonna stand there?" You questioned raising a brow at him.

"Why yes! It looks like you need some company!"

... how can someone be so horrendously horrible at reading the room. However you won't be surprised if he's being daft on purpose, he seemed like the type to do that. Much to your dismay.
"How... thoughtful." You said through gritted teeth as the mayor sat down next to you making you shift further away, lifting your hand up at the muck besides you.

You took a small peek over to him and he was just smiling to himself staring at the wall in front of you.
... oh what the heck, you've got nothing else to do.

"Why are you with the, demon?" You questioned keeping your eyes locked onto the wall infront of you not wanting to know if he was staring again.

"Come again?"

"That girl, what was it? Blood oath? A ritual or was it something else?" You asked picking at your nails to keep your eyes focused on them rather than that fear of making awkward eye contact (eye contact in general).

Instead of the irritated or annoyed response you were expecting to get from how much of a lap dog he seemed to be for her he seemed rather excited to tell you.

"My lady is my saviour, she gave me a second chance similar to you if you will. And soon this world will be saved as I was." He stated in a fanboy like reaction.

"Ah, I see." You suspected something like that aswell considering how he was constantly at her beck and call at all times. But what the hell was that second part??

A moment of silence passed as you had nothing else to say before you heard the Spider Queen's mechanical spider legs clanking and echoing against the sewer walls as she left the room, glancing down at you before turning away and leaving.

Wonder what that was about.

You started getting up before getting your right arm being grabbed, your body immediately freezing on the spot your other fist clenched ready to react.
"The lady will see you now." Mayor said his grip on your arm tightening before he tossed you through the portal, waving a childish bye as you stumbled on the other side.

Two faced bitch.

You grabbed the area he'd grabbed, squishing it as a way to soothe the slight sore ache.
Looking up and seeing her standing a few feet away staring at you.

"Okay, what did you want to see me for then?" You asked wanting to get this done with, moving to stand closer to her to assert some sort of confidence.

"How is your progress with the Monkie King's successor." She asked straight away glancing at you from the side as you stayed a little bit away from her.

"Hm, call it a work in progress." She did a small nod looking back at the blue chained weapon they were building.

"You may leave, but I shall be calling you in for your progress." You nodded walking away before pausing for a moment.

"Say, is flowers growing normal with a new, body?" You questioned taking out the dead petals you'd kept in your pocket eyeing them curiously.

She raised a brow looking at the dead petals.

"Unless your death was linked with it in one way or another, then no."
