Tap  tap

Frisk tapped their finger against the table, swinging their legs softly, kicking it against the table in a consistent rhythm as they looked into the steaming bowl of noodles.

So this was the place [Y/n] got those noodles from so often during the times they'd be late getting home.
It was nice he supposes, it was fairly peaceful if you ignored the loud delivery guy aka monkey kid.

She watched him talk with Pigsy if they remembered correctly watching as he tried to get himself out of trouble for something he accidentally did.

"Aaand done!" He turned his head to look at Mei one of the coolest people she knows (alongside [Y/n]) sit down besides them.

"Thanks for coming on a short notice!" She said looking at them before taking out her phone.

"So... do you know where they've gone specifically?" She asked placing her phone face down on the counter.

Frisk shook her head at the woman seeing her expression falter slightly letting out an 'oh' as her brows furrowed slightly.

"It's not like them to not take their stuff with them." They said pulling out their friend's phone looking at the screen.

"Much less to not try and contact me." They muttered furrowing his brows in frustration.

Nothing was making sense.

When the so called 'Mayor' rang at her door to inform them that they'd gone off on some 'internship' for a few weeks Frisk just knew something was off.

It wasn't like [Y/n] to just go off so suddenly without informing Frisk themselves and to leave their phone here? That just didn't make a single sense.

Something was off about all this, he just knew but she didn't know she could do. They didn't know where they had gone anyway, that man hadn't told them anything else before having disappeared the moment Frisk took their eyes away from him.

They sighed learning back in his chair feeling the headache kick in from nothing making sense.
As she was lost in thoughts trying to figure out everything and piece it all together he felt his hair get gently ruffled making them look to their right seeing Mei giving a nice smile as she kept her hand on his head.

"Don't stress it, you've got city's heroes to help you out!" She said a large smile on her face as she gave him a playful wink which Frisk beamed at in joy.

Of course how silly of them, these guys could definitely help in finding them! With their abilities they're sure to find [Y/n] in no time.
Hopefully by the time they've been found his parents will be gone soon otherwise figuring out how to sneak them in the house will be a bit challenging.

Maybe they could ask Mei for them to house them for a bit? She's sure she wouldn't mind too much right?

The dragon girl kept up her cheery facade as she comforted the kid [Y/n] took care of.

In reality she was irritated, frustrated and anxious.

You disappearing out of the blue was abnormal, well, she thinks so at least. Seeing how it wasn't just her but even Frisk who was also concerned was a good hint about that theory.

Dammit. This wouldn't have been such a problem if you'd had your phone with you that day she could've easily found you p̶e̶r̶h̶a̶p̶s̶ s̶h̶e̶ n̶e̶e̶d̶s̶ t̶o̶ p̶u̶t̶ a̶ c̶a̶m̶e̶r̶a̶ o̶n̶ y̶o̶u̶ a̶s̶w̶e̶l̶l̶.

When she finds you she'll make sure to do that next time.

"Why did you do it?" Mei turned her head, cockiing it to the side as she watched Frisk look up at her in curiosity.

"Hm? Do what?"

"Why did you become their friend? With [Y/n] I mean." They clarified waiting patiently for an answer.

Mei paused momentarily thinking of how to phrase it.
Telling him that she'd wanted to at least know them because she found them mesmerising sounded sort of weird, as if she'd only gone after them for their looks, then again their eyes was their most striking feature so perhaps that wasn't entirely wrong.

"Hhhhhm, I'd say it's because I thought they were interesting." Frisk tilted his head at that.

"Huh? How so?" She paused thinking a little.

"I mean I think it was the way they introduced themselves, something about them just stood out..." their eyes.

"That sounds like some cheesy romcom line." Frisk said sticking out their tongue at the thought of those cheesy romance films.
"They are just different!" Frisk joked faking a voice trying to mimic the characters who always fall in love on sight.

"Hey! That's not what I meant it as!" She rebuttled giving him a playful shove pushing their face away as Frisk laughed.

Then again she wasn't wrong about it, that was what she thought when she first saw them.
Though as much as she'd like to ask them out she doubts they'll accept. She's pretty sure romance isn't on their mind right now.

Sighing she looked at the phone Frisk had placed on the table, the one that she'd given [Y/n] on their first girls day out.

Well, things could always change later.
