Yeah, it's OK. Come on, let's go. I have to see my friends, anyway. Do you know anyone studying here? Mikha asked.
My cousin is here taking up performing arts. Aya shared. A ringing phone interrupted their conversation and Aya excuse herself to answer it. Mikha noticed an abrupt change in Aya's expression when the call ended. She could not help but to show her concerns.
Are you ok Aya? You seem bothered? Mikha queried.
Ahh... I supposed to meet my cousin, but now she could not make it. Oh, well! I guess I have to eat by myself there. Aya feels gutted.
If you like, you can join me and my friends. The only thing is you have to put up with us. Mikha warned Aya.
Aya smiled and nodded. She can feel this semester will be great for her. Meeting other people apart from her cousin is a bonus, too. She made the best decision about moving to a new place.
Come on Aya, allow me to pay for your food, it's my way of welcoming you to the campus. Mikha insisted, holding her tray.
How nice of you! I won't refuse your offer, but next time is my treat. Aya gave in and let Mikhs to settle for her lunch. The latter just nodded as a response while scratching her nape. Aya smiles and finds the mannerism cute.
I can see my friends; they are the one sitting at the far end corner. Mikha guided Aya to their table.
The mighty three are talking when Mikha and Aya walk into them. It perturbed them when Mikha approached with someone who is not familiar.
Hey everybody! I would like you to meet my new classmate. She just transferred from Cebu.
Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind me joining your group. I supposed to see my cousin, but her classes got extended. Aya felt embarrassed about intruding on their circle.
Everybody turned quiet. They seemed dazzled by Aya's voice and charm. Mikha cut off the awkwardness and introduced them one by one.
Meet my friends, Colet, she is taking up pre-law. Gwen, here, is in interior design and Jho is in journalism. They say "Hi" in unison after.
Welcome to the campus. If you needed someone to see more of Manila, please let us know we can drive you around. Colet jostled Mikha on the side to agree with her.
Ah.... Yes, you can count on us. Mikha felt embarrassed by the suggestion. She would rather not be presumptuous about asking Aya to come along after today's meet.
