Mikha glares at everyone to keep them from talking further, not to add fuel to her furious best friend.
I just need to apply some ice Aya. I am fine, honestly. Mikhs trying to put her mind at rest.
Mikhaela Leim, are you going to stand there, or do you want me to break your other arm as well? Aya raised her voice. The entire group went quiet, surprised to see a different side of Aya. Mikhs is aware once her roommate is in that state never to interfere nor contradict her.
Jho, would you mind driving Mikhs jeep back to the apartment? I need to bring her to the clinic. Aya suggested, handing in the key and walks fast to the car park.
Will you slow down? I am fine, it's just a sprain. Hey. Look at me? Mikha regrets urging her.
You are hurt but still stubborn as ever, avoiding getting our help. Tears started flowing down her cheeks because of frustration and concerned. Mikhs heart softens at seeing her best friend lament because of her. She came closer to her, took some tissue from her bag, and wipes it off.
Hey, look at me. I am coming with you to the clinic. Please stop crying. See, you are just like a baby dripping with snot. Mikhs teasing Aya, drying her tears.
I don't have a snot, then brush off her hand at Mikhs shirt. Aya responded.
Yuck, why wipe it on me? Mikha pretended disgusted with her action.
Come on, before I change my mind. Mikhs suggested, holding Aya with her good arm.
They came home late afternoon. Mikha is wearing a splint to stay on for a couple of days until the swelling subsides. Luckily, it was just a sprained.
What is with the face now? Aya asked.
I am just worried about the upcoming finals for UAAP. Plus, I will not be able to drive with this arm. Mikhs looks so troublesome about volleyball practices and coming to school.
Your friend can help you, just guide them while you are recuperating. Don't worry too much. For the meantime, let's have some dinner so you can take your pain relief. Aya encourages her to come to their dining table.
I haven't thanked you yet for helping me. Showing her splinted arm. Mikhs looks straight into Aya's eyes, "I appreciate it,".
The severity of her gaze intensified the foreign warm feeling that Aya wanted to ignore. "The food will go cold, start eating. I will just take us some soda". The only thing, she responded and walks to the fridge to break their eye contact.
A long pause followed afterwards. Both can feel the sudden tension between them. Until they heard their door buzzing, signalling someone in the front.
I will look at it. Aya volunteered. She checked the peephole first to know who was behind it.
Who is it? Mikhs asked.
Aya opens the door and lets the person in. You are just in time. We are about to eat.
Hi Mikhs! How are you holding on? I brought some Ramen, Aya said this is one of your favourites. Keiro walks in smiling.
Mikhs was surprised to have Aya's boyfriend around. How can she forget it is Friday? Meaning it is their date night.
Oh, you don't have to bring in me those, but thank you. Mikhs seem guilty.
You might have somewhere to go, Aya. I will be fine here. She encourages her to go ahead in case they have a plan.
Huhh? No, he just came by to deliver the ramen. Aya explained.
I just showed up to check on you as well, Mikhs. Anyway, I will leave both of you alone, rest and hope you feel better soon. Keiro stated and kiss Aya's cheek before heading to the door.
