It was the first day of the GCSE exams. Elena is stressed more than usual. She's crying so much she looks like a ghost. She puts on her uniform and makes her way into school with her mum.
Elena runs right to the bathroom once they arrive near the school.
She's trembling.
She locks herself in the loo for the first 3 hours before trying to eat lunch.
An hour later, her mother shows up in the library. Elena doesn't move.
"Why isn't my daughter I'm exam prep?" Her mother asks the support team. "Oh, didn't you know? she sits here every single day, never moving for about the last two years now. Mrs Fletcher had been informing us that she'd been letting you know on a regular basis via email." Says Elena's favourite libraian.
Elenas mothers face goes into pure mother bear protective mode.
"COME HERE ELENA, WE ARE GOING TO MRS FLETCHERS OFFICE AT ONCE TO SEE THESE SO CALLED EMAILS SHES BEEN SENDING ME."
Elena's mother opens Mrs Fletcher's door.
