TWO━━━━
CALIFORNIA LOVE

stranger things;
season 4    ep 2

FRANKIE HAD WOKEN UP bright and early that morning, bags already packed and ready to go. She had bid her goodbyes to everyone the night before and even gave Chrissy the number of the Byers' new home. And now she was more than ready to go to California to see El.

Well, to see everyone. But mostly to see El.

She hasn't seen her since Thanksgiving, so it had been quite a few months.

The flight there was uneventful, and a little nerve-wracking. She always had that irrational fear of something going wrong planted in the back of her mind.

When the plane did land, she couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she waited to exit the plane. While she was waiting; she flattened out the skirt and floral-y shirt she was wearing.

She started walking when the person who was sat next to her got out of their seat, grabbing the two bags she had brought with her. She was antsy as she tried to look over the shoulders of the passengers. She was so excited to see El.

She got onto the tips of her toes when they came to a stand still, and noticed that there were way too many people trying to walk out at once.

She grumbled and fell back flat on her feet, a frown resting on her face. She shuffled from side to side as she waited, inpatient.

Eventually, they started moving again and she quickly pulled away from the group of people when they entered the actual airport. A huge smile replaced the frown when she saw El waving at her happily. "Frankie!"

The two girls raced toward each other, throwing their arms around each other and almost falling to the ground from impact. "It's so good to see you!" Frankie said happily as she squeezed the girl tight.

When the two girls pulled away, she noticed Will and Jonathan behind El, and she excitedly waved at the two of them. "Hey, Will!" She reached over and pulled him into a hug as well, although not for as long. "And Jonathan," she did the same for the older teen. "It's good to see you both."

When she turned again, she saw another teen with long hair, and she assumed it was Argyle just based on that factor alone. "You must be Argyle?" The teen nodded with a sleepy smile. "Yeah, nice to meet you, dudette." Frankie couldn't help but smile at that, finding the change-up oddly sweet.

"Okay, um, should we go?" Jonathan asked awkwardly from where he stood, and Frankie gave him a small smile and a nod. "Yeah, sure!" Frankie shifted her grip on her bags and started walking, El quickly finding a spot next to her. "I have our whole day planned." The brunette said happily as she practically skipped next to Frankie.

"First, El Rodeo for burritos." Frankie nodded along with her words, her jetlag immediately disapearring when she realized how happy the brunette was. "Then, after burritos, I want to go to Rink-O-Mania." Frankie didn't know what Rink-O-Mania was, but she liked the sound of it.

"Oh. What's Rink-O-Mania?" Frankie asked her, excitedly. "It's the most fun place in Lenora. They have skating and games." El explained and Frankie could only watch her with soft eyes and a smile plastered on her face. "That sounds amazing. Do you think we'll see some of your friends there?" Frankie asked, referring to the friends El had mentioned in her most recent letter.
