As days went on, Serena was in constant contact with Aster and he agreed to have her father, brother and younger siblings there. It would show her family just who she had become friends with over the  years. When it became her birthday, instantly Serena's mind went downhill as she knew that it was her birthday. She chose to pick up her phone before getting out of bed, she was happy to see the morning text from Aster.

Aster: Good morning Rena, happy twenty fourth birthday. When it gets close to noon I would like for you to come to the address I gave you yesterday. I know that your mind has made it impossible for you to be happy today. Especially with the last five years being shit and since you were young it's been completely ignored and overshadowed. I would like for you to message me back when you finally wake up so I know that you read this and haven't completely encased yourself into your depression. Which speaking of which make sure you take your medication woman.

Serena smiled a bit seeing the text before she messaged him back.

Serena: Thank you for this, it means a lot that you have done so much to keep my mind from completely shutting down. Especially knowing what today is for me. I just woke up so I'll be getting up now to eat and take my medication.

It wasn't long before he had messaged her back

Aster: Good you better get up, I've been talking with your brother for the past two hours waiting for you to wake up.

Seeing what he wrote she bolted up and got herself dressed in the clothes she wanted to wear that day, she then unlocked her door and left her room shutting the door behind her before she went to the kitchen to see her brother and Aster talking with one another at the table. Milo smiled seeing her. "Hey there Rena, happy birthday Sis." He said as he hugged her tightly

She hugged him back just as tightly. "Thank you bro."

"Let me go and make you some breakfast, go on and sit down."

She nodded her head and sat across from Aster who looked flustered seeing what she was wearing. Serena noticed it and leaned against the table. "I hadn't expected to see you before noon Aster." She said happily

"Yeah well...I wanted to know some things from your brother that's all."

"Oh?"

"You'll see later, for now just enjoy your day with your brother. I have some things to do."Aster said before he got up and he hugged her tightly kissing the top of her head softly "Happy birthday Serena."

He then left out without another word to her, once he was gone Serena giggled a bit. "I think this outfit worked a bit too well bro." Serena said happily looking at her brother

"I told you it would, that guy seriously is a keeper. He has a solid head on him-not to mention he's been asking a lot about our family to understand what you've dealt with. There has been four years that I wasn't there for you for, but overall I haven't been that bad of a brother to you."

"You've never been a bad bro to me, by the time you graduated I know you had to deal with Mira and the child you ended up getting her pregnant with. You had to adult before even graduating and continue to do so since then. I understood back then that there isn't much that I could do about keeping in touch with you until you were ready to do so back." Serena said with a small smile

Milo stopped what he was doing as he looked at her. "How did I end up getting so lucky to have such a wonderful younger sister like you?"

"Pure luck broski, pure luck."

Once Milo finished with making her breakfast, she thanked him and ate before taking her medication. Afterwards she played a few games with her brother that morning before he told her that he was going to take her to the venue that Aster had planned her birthday party at. Serena got her shoes on and the two of them left out together. The drive there was silent other than the music coming from the car. It was soon interrupted by the sound of Serena's phone, she saw that it was Aster and smiled as she answered it.
