Serena gave Aster a small smile as she had her hands behind her back. "My darling, my love...my everything. I hate seeing you in the depressed rut I've see you in while we've been together. I know it's been bothering you that you don't have your father to lean on. So I did some digging about all of the companies that have worked with this one over the last twenty some odd years. And the only consistent one has been the one that Tyrone had manage to be the CEO of. So I hacked through different cameras from this company and for that bastards company." Serena said as she placed a hand on her chest where her heart was as she walked towards him

His eyes followed her as he heard her speak. "Okay, and what did you find out?"

"That bastard kidnapped your father and made it seem like your father died. When I left out it was to see whether my suspicions about your father being alive was right or not." Serena said before she placed her hands over his on his chair. "Aster, my love...your father is alive and in the hospital. I personally made damn sure he was taken care of before I came back here."

Aster's eyes widened in utter shock hearing what she said. "W-Wait...W-What?!"

"Do you wish to see your father love?"

"I....I do. More than anything Serena."

"Then let's go. I can take you to where he was taken to."

He nodded his head quickly "Okay."

When they had left the office Serena drove Aster to the hospital and let Aster talk with the secretary about seeing his father. When he was able to see his father Serena stayed in the waiting room letting Aster have the time that he needed to come to grasps that his father was alive and well. Serena played a game on her phone while she awaited to see Aster once more. 

With Aster, when he had gotten to the hospital room where his father was, he saw that his father was sitting up and eating. Aster teared up seeing his father before he came into the room. "F-Father?"

His father smiled seeing him. "Aster my boy, it's good to see you. I'm guessing your girlfriend had taken you here yeah?"

"Yeah....Serena did take me here. She...She told me that she found you in the basement of one of the people who you used to trust...Is...Is that true?"

"Yeah, it is. You have a very smart and compassionate young girl as your girlfriend."

Aster sniffled a bit as he looked down in thought. "S-Serena is very thoughtful and thinks more about others than herself, she....She knew that I've always been so upset and depressed about not being able to have you around while I grew up. I...I guess seeing just how I've been made her feel motivated to do what she had."

"You know Aster, you don't find women who actually care about their boyfriends like she has with you. I wouldn't mind seeing you get married to her in time."

Aster averted his eyes as he scratched the side of his face. "Well...I already plan on proposing to Serena come next year. Her and I have been together long enough, I...I want to do something to make it so she'll never leave me."

"With how much she cares about you son-I don't see that being a problem. She was rather kind and sincere towards me the entire time she helped the EMT's get me out of that cellar I was in. Which by the way-why didn't she come with you?"

"I...I don't know why she didn't. I would have thought she'd want to see you too. I guess she figured I'd need time to see you on my own." Aster said sadly

"You better do something for her in return for her doing this, I honestly never thought I'd leave that basement."

"I know...I just don't know what. I never thought I'd see you again dad."

"Your girlfriend isn't materialistic is she?"

Aster shook his head no. "she hates it when I buy things for her."

"I see...so it isn't because of the wealth behind your name that she's with you. The why is she so dedicated to you?"

"She is one of the only people from my childhood that stuck by my side even after the lies I was told about you. One by one everyone I knew back then turned their back on me, but not her. She stayed by my side and helped me out the best that she could even with her own issues."

"Oh? She's one of your little childhood friends? What's her full name Aster?"

"Serena Rosaline Santos"

"Santos? Do you know the name of her father?"

"Mhm, it's Eric. why ask father?"

"Hm...The Santos name used to work with us Aster. I am merely curious if her family is from that line of Santos that once worked with us."

Aster got his phone from his pocket and he contacted Serena asking her to come to the room where his father was. He got an 'okay' as an answer, it wasn't long before the two of them saw Serena who smiled at the elder male. "It's good to see you sitting up and eating sir. Have you been doing well here?"

"I have, listen Miss. My son tells me that you are a Santos is that true?"

She nodded her head. "Mhm, it is. I am aware of why you are asking me about my family name. And you'd be correct, there was a fall out within the company while my grandfather had the company in his command which made things difficult for my father. My father went from being a high class citizen to a mid to low class one." 

"How would you like to bring that company back up with my son and I's help?"

Her eyes widened in utter shock as she looked at the elder male. "I...I wouldn't know how to go about running a business sir. Sure I took business classes in college, but I'm not all that good at being friendly towards people let alone being savvy enough to do what Aster has while you were trapped where you were."

Aster let out a small chuckle and wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closely to him which made her look at him flustered. "Why are you laughing for Aster?!"

"I had a feeling you'd decline the idea, you stated the main points I figured you wouldn't want to."

"This is what happens when you date your childhood friend Aster dear."

"I don't regret it." He said with a smile before he looked at his father. "Serena isn't the best people person, I've seen what she's like around people. It's why I gave her the job I did, she doesn't see or talk to people as much. The most interaction she gets with people is her talking with me, which she's always been fine with."
