Under Your Wing

Tossing back and forth

Like a ship on stormy seas 

waves crashing but not overtaking me [a]

I'm holding on to you

With all that I am

I don't want to sink and drown

And feel the demons drag me down

down to the depths of hell

Lift me off the ground

And carry me on your wings [b]

Despite the winds that whip my face

Defiantly fighting the abrasive words attempting to plunder me

Whispering evil things, trying to discourage me

God, I need your voice comforting and sweet

sweeter than honey, warmer than the rays of the sun, gentle as a blanket of love

Please bring me under your wing [c]

Protect me and hide me from the sting of

Death, trying to bring me to his chest

It is you who sustains me, Lord

You are my strength and my salvation [d]

You are all I have and you are all I need

So please, adopt me eternally [e]
