I was sitting in the living room waiting on my daughter to finish getting ready. I really hope she likes this idea... And maybe it can become our thing again.. Every Saturday us both can go to the Chester. Kinda like a.... Daddy-Daughter date.

Ofc it won't be the same however. She's older now and Eleanor isn't here so it will always feel like somethings missing but I'll make it work. For Mia.

"I'm ready" I hear her voice say from the door of the living room. She has a small smile on her face and I smile back at her before nodding and walking over to her. "let's go then princess."

She's wearing a yellow and white dress with little flower designs on it with a white jacket on. Her blonde hair is down below her shoulders.

I'm just wearing the typical black suit.

Mia giggles "stop calling me that. I'm a bit old for it. Don't you think?" We start walking out of the mansion to the limo in our front garden. Once I hear her sentence I chuckle and shake my head. "no can do princess, I've been calling you that since you were a little toddler so whats the point of stopping now?"

She rolls her eyes playfully and sighs. "I shouldn't have even asked". I chuckle at her comment before we reach the limo where Jarold is holding the door open for us. (THE RETURN OF JAROLD💪😤)

"Sir" he says nodding to me and i nod back and get in the car after my daughter.

When Jarold gets in the drivers seat he looks back at Mia and smiles. "So no bodyguard this time huh?" he laughs after saying that... Which makes me wonder why. Even worse Mia starts blushing and looking down at her hands that are sitting on her lap as if shes nervous. I raise my eyebrow at her.

"U-uh no.. Not this time."

Could they be? No.. They couldn't.. Can they?

I ask myself that question over and over on the drive to the restaurant. I wouldn't trust Amelia with my daughter... I mean she's a great kid but.. With how she treated her last girlfriend, I wouldn't want Mia to go through that.

The drive to The Chester was about 10-15 minutes long and when we got there the place was packed. All you could hear was the voices of random people all around the restaurant and even a few tables had children at them so it was a bit chaotic. we sat down facing eachother at a table for 3...

Yes... Table for three.. One for each of us.

Me

Mia

And my beloved Eleanor.

Mia, however, wasn't really paying much attention to her surroundings at all.. She was too focused and buried in her thoughts. I knew this by her leaning against the table with her elbow and her silly smile on her face and how her eyes are narrowed while she looked down at her plate. Is her pupils hearts or am i seeing things?

"Mia? I said do you like the place?" I say a bit louder so she can hear me. Mia jerks up before looking at me and laughing nervously. "sorry daddy, I'm a bit distracted. Uh yes! It's nice."

I smile. Happy she finally listened to me. "That's good princess. But what are you distracted by?" she blushes and chuckles and waves her hands as like a dismissive way. "Oh Pfft i-it's just some homework. No big deal! A bit stressful since finals are coming up soon.."

I sigh and lean back on my chair. "You know i could have gotten you homeschooled. It would have gotten rid of all this stress.... And what happened with that boy Aidan a few months ago never would have happened.." she looks down and sighs. "I know, but I just wanted to know what it was like to go to a public school. Instead of being homeschooled like I was in all of Elementary and middle school."

I nod.. She does have a point. I can't stop her from being curious.

"Who's that seat for?" She looks at the emtpy seat that's in the middle of us both and I smile sadly while looking at the empty chair. "That's for your mom silly."

Her eyes widen and she looks at me with a sad yet shocked face. "Mom? You haven't spoken about her in ages..." she's right. I haven't spoken about Eleanor in quite a while. To her atleast. I obviously was talking to Amelia about her not long ago but Mia doesn't need to know that.

"I know but I was looking through that old photo book that me and your mom made. It's mostly about you and I came across a photo of all 3 of us in this very resturant so I thought it would be a nice time to spend some time together." I say truthfully. She smiles softly and I think i see her tear up.

"That's nice of you dad. I really missed our Saturdays at this place. Even tho its a Thursday." she giggles after that last sentence. I chuckle aswell and smile. "Well I guess I was just impatient. Starting from next week I promise we will come here every Saturday."

A few minutes later the waitress comes to our table and takes our orders. (you can choose what they order cause I actually haven't a clue)

"You know your mom's birthday dance is coming up. It's next week on Friday. "  I say once the waitress walks away. "oh yes.. I remember that. Where is it this year?" Mia asks. "It's just going to be at our house this year" I smile. "Let me guess, your going to use your casino business to cover up your 'organisation' again" she smirks. I chuckle deeply and nod. "like always."

Mia smiles. We sit there awkwardly for a few moments before Mia speaks up. "Uh will Amelia be able to go daddy?" I raise my eye brow and look at her with a suspicious look. "Yes ofc. She's your bodyguard she has to go."

Mias face brightens brighter than a moonlit sky and her smile grows even wider. "Why do you ask?" I ask her. She blushes and chuckles nervously. "I was just curious, I mean i do need my bodyguard everywhere I go right!" I sigh. "I guess you do."

The rest of the day is just normal. We eat. We talk. Then we go home.

No ones pov.

Little did they know someone was watching them from afar...
