Today, I have decided to confront Jazeel.
I wanted to invite him over but I decided against it. If I'm the one who has done something wrong and wants to apologize then I should be the one to go to him and not the other way round.

He smiles when he opens the door "An unexpected surprise".
I nod, smiling anxiously. Every part of my body shook from the nerves.

"Come in" he makes way for me.
I sit on the couch, looking at my feet like I just grew them.
"Okay, why are you looking like that?" He asks when he sits next to me.

"I want to come clean about something—something I should have done a very long time ago."
"Come clean about what?"
"The fact that it's because of me that you're in this situation now".

He looked confused "Which situation?"
"Being married to Ersana."
He chuckles "No matter what you would have done and said I would have married her anyway, we were destined for one another".

I nod "But I didn't warn you about her?"
He raises his eyebrows "Unless if you planned her behavior I see no reason why it's your fault. We were in love and we got married, that's that".
I sigh "But when you brought up the idea I encouraged it".
"Because she was your friend".

I shake my head "No, because I knew she wouldn't love you".
I think this peeked his interest, he raises his eyebrows.
"I was hurt and angry that you chose her over me so I thought making you realize the kind of person she really is would be hitting two birds with one stone—you realize you made a mistake choosing her and she, loses you".

He was silent, just stared at me before he stands. Oddly, he didn't seem fazed or surprised by what I said but then again, maybe he's just masking it.
He stares at the wall, his back turned to me. I knew he was hurt and it pained me to know that despite everything he's going through I just added to the pain.

"I was wondering when you'd come clean." He finally speaks up but it wasn't what I thought I'd hear from him. What is that supposed to mean?
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I thought it'd take you longer to confess or maybe not at all but here you are".

He turns around, he looked disappointed but amused as well.
"What do you mean?"
He sits on the arm of the chair, staring down at me "You see, I found out a long time ago when I crossed paths with your friend, Tariq. You came clean to him and he came clean to me".

I still couldn't wrap my head around it.
"I guess your husband knows you so well, even when I and Mahmoud said you wouldn't you actually did come clean".
"He told you?"

He sighs "Have you not heard a thing I said? Tariq told me and I confronted Hayaan. He made a great case for you but just like you told him to keep it from me I told him to keep it from you. Don't take it out on him".

Really?
I'm going to kill that man.

He frowns "I was really disappointed though, I thought you and I were like family but I guess not because if we were, you would have never ever let me marry her—if it was Salim, even if he swears to disown you, you still wouldn't let him marry her but it's fine that it's me, right?"

He takes a deep breath "Despite knowing I went along with the marriage anyway".
My jaw dropped. He found out before they got married and he still married her?

"Why?"
He shrugs "You think you're the only diabolical one?" He smiles in a way that made me really uncomfortable "Let's just say, my plan is about to hit its climax and luckily for you your confessions just saved you a front row seat instead of being on stage".

He stands, his lips curling into a frown "It really hurt me finding out, especially from someone else. All the misery I went through and you're only telling me now? Despite what you believe, you're just as terrible as she is—if not worse. She's just being selfish, greedy and people like that are blinded by their desire but you—you betrayed someone who did nothing but try to make you happy. Good thing about it is that now that you know I don't have to keep up the act. But—" he smiles "I'm not a forgiving person".
