30. Feels good to be back

Inaya's POV

"Inu have you packed everything?" ami asked me for the hundredth time.

"Yes ami be rest assured" i said with a smile and she sighed.

"It's hard to leave this house.." i sat besides her and side hugged her.

"I know but we'll be starting a new life with much better opportunities" i tried to comfort her.

"Yes yes" she chuckled when i kissed her cheek.

I'm so excited to go back and nervous as well.

I'll be able to meet my friends after soo long. I've missed them like crazy. I've missed everything about london.

And maybe.. i'll be able to see him too. But what if he moved on..?

I shook my thoughts of and focused on good things only. I feel so happy and grateful now that i'm going back. And this time ami is also going with me. What can i ask for more?

"Inayaaaa!" alizeh launched onto me as soon as ami and i exited the airport.

I hugged her back matching her excitement. It felt like deja vu when i first came.

"You're finally here!!!" she looked at me as if i wasn't real.

I pinched her causing her to hiss. "Yesss i am!!" i laughed at her glare soon followed by her.

While we were busy in our excitement, ami and khala were also crying while hugging each other. They met for like soo many years later and khala wasn't able to come when nano died because of her busy schedule, so of course this moment was very emotional for them.

After their little emotional session we finally settled in car and left.

Bhai helped us with our luggages while we went inside. And alizeh didn't leave me for a second as if i would disappear.

"Inaya you also go freshen up while i'll show your ami her room" khala said to me and i nodded.

I went upstairs to the same room where i've stayed. It was as same as i left. Not a single thing moved.

I felt so many emotions as i stared at the room for a moment before going to the washroom to take a shower.

After changing and drying my hair, i went into alizeh's room.

She was sitting on the sofa doing something on her laptop.

"What are you doing?" i asked as i plopped on the bed.

She closed the laptop after noticing me, sat besides me.

"Nothing just some office work" she said annoyed while i chuckled.

"By the way, did you look for any jobs?" she asked curiously.

"Yeah i did applied for internships at a few companies but didn't get any reply yet" i shrugged and she nodded.

"So how have you all been?" i asked after some time.

"Fine but we missed you alot after you left, specially on graduation day" she sighed and i gave her a sad smile.

"But that doesn't matter, now that you're here and won't be leaving..!" she exclaimed and i laughed at her excitement.

We were talking basically filling up each other what happened in these years, when her door room opened.

"Alizeh we're here-" it was eman and riya. Eman's voice got cut when she saw me besides alizeh.

They both blinked at me and looked at each other with shocked faces.

"Riya am i hallucinating or do you see inaya too?" eman asked.

"Yes i see her too.." both of them gasped and i laughed at them being overdramatic.

"Hey guys..." i muttered and their eyes widened.

They both left the bags they were holding, causing them to fall on the ground with a thud.

And launched on me with a big squeal. I chuckled.

"I can't breathe.." i said when their hold got too much tight.

"OMG!!!!! You're here!!" eman exclaimed being too excited.

"Relax guys.." i said with a chuckle.

"How can we relax when we're seeing you after a decade" i rolled my eyes at their exaggeration.

"How have you guys been?" i asked when the finally calmed down.

"Amazing..!"

"Tired.."

Eman and riya both said respectively.

"Of course you're amazing ever since you started dating" alizeh rolled her eyes and eman blushed.

"Wait..! You're dating omg who??" i asked with my widened eyes.

He blush got deeper as she answered, "Yes and it's adnan"

"They literally hated each other i wonder how this happened" riya and alizeh both shocked.

"I'm so happy for you.." i said to eman and she gave me a wide smile.

"I'm missing him so much, ever since he started working with bhai he's been so busy to even reply to my texts" eman sighed.

I shifted in my place a little at the mention of his.

I wanted to ask her how he has been. What is he been upto now. But i couldn't bring these questions to voice.

"Will you.. meet bhai?" eman asked after some time and they all looked at me.

"Uhh i have no reason to.." i answered fidgeting with my shirt.

"Are you sure?'' this time alizeh questioned.

"Yes and why would i? I mean he must've moved on.." my stomach stirred at this thought.

"Trust me, he didn't" eman looked at me with hopeful eyes but i just sighed.

Thankfully, they changed the topic and didn't asked about it anymore.

But my mind was still diverted towards his thoughts. I do want to see him.. but i can't.

We spent the whole day together and they left when it was time for dinner.

After finishing dinner, i went in my room and tried to sleep.

I realised that how much i missed everyone and everything here. It feels so good to be back.

I miss him too. I really want to meet him. But i don't have any reason or rights to do so. After all the hurtful things i've said to him, how can i meet him so shamelessly? And it would break my heart completely if he was with someone else now.

'But what if he's still waiting for you?' my inner voice questioned but i shook my head as i didn't want to hope for no reason.
