After that shocking revelation, sleep evaded me that night. I lay awake, staring blankly at the ceiling as my mind raced, grappling with the question that consumed me:

How am I going to get myself out of this mess?

The following morning, the door unlocked, and one of the brothers, Leonard, ushered in two maids, shooting me a warning glare.

"Don't try anything foolish," his eyes seemed to say. One maid carried a tray of food, while the other, Rosey, held a tablet in her hands.

"I'll be back in a few hours," Leonard stated coldly before locking the door behind him.

As soon as his footsteps faded away, I threw off the covers and dashed into the bathroom, retrieving the hidden phone. Rushing back, I met Rosey's gaze. She handed me a charger with a battery pack, allowing me to power up the device without plugging it in. My eyes shifted to the other maid, still clutching the food tray.

"Is she going to rat on us?" I asked cautiously.

The maid quickly shook her head. "No, she won't."

"She's cool," Rosey reassured me. "She's the one who thought of the idea of the bank."

I exhaled a sigh of relief. "I feel like shit."

"You look like shit," Rosey retorted with a wry smile.

"I didn't sleep a wink last night," I mumbled, rubbing my tired eyes.

The other maid offered me a steaming cup. "Here's some coffee."

I gulped it down eagerly, savoring the bitter warmth.

"What's up with the tablet?" I inquired, nodding towards the device in Rosey's hands.

She shifted uncomfortably. "It's a schedule, detailing the equal amount of time you'll be spending with each brother and where."

"What type of bullshit is that?" I scoffed, my frustration mounting.

"It ain't worse than the things they were talking about, especially when it came to the schedule," the other maid chimed in.

Rosey grimaced. "Yeah, Vanessa here had to be the one to clean up the aftermath of it."

"Was it bad?" I asked, dreading the answer.

Vanessa's expression darkened. "The worst. I've never seen them act this way before. It was... unhinged. They talked about how you were 'part of the family.' It got super creepy for a while there."

A chill ran down my spine. "The hell does that mean?"

"Well, I think it means you're like... like a little sister?" Rosey suggested hesitantly.

"Ew." I grimaced. "That would explain their overprotective nature, I guess."

Vanessa poured me another cup of coffee. "Don't get me started on what they told us, well threaten us rather" Rosey warned in a hushed tone.

"What? What did they say?" I pressed, my curiosity piqued.

Rosey leaned in closer. "The reason why none of us can go to the police is because all of us are in debt to the Windsors and if we were to run, they told us we better pray the police find us before they do."

I sipped my coffee slowly, processing her words. "In debt?"

Vanessa nodded solemnly. "Usually by family. We can't even really leave the premises for too long. I don't know whether they have trackers on us or what, but they always find you and drag you back."

A heavy silence fell over the room as the weight of their situation sank in. I finally broke the tension.

"I got a text from a friend," I spoke up in a hushed voice. "She's trying to find a detective group in the big city to bring them down."

Rosey and Vanessa locked eyes, a glimmer of hope flickering in their gazes. "If there is even a glimpse of me getting out of this hell, I will do anything," Vanessa vowed in a whisper.

"Me too," I echoed, my resolve strengthening.

"Anyway, what else did they say?" I prompted, eager for any information that could aid our escape.

Vanessa's voice dropped to a conspiratorial murmur. "More about how we won't have to help them with their morning routine or night routine anymore. More weight off my back, and I get to sleep more."

"Huh," I mused. "Do you think I had something to do with it?"
