The day was long, and the interactions at both companies were tedious and filled with anger.

Syung Mi announced directly to the board that she would be taking her father's place as Chairman Bealk. It was she who first took the stage. Lee Bo Va was stunned by the announcement and immediately protested... he was asked to sit down and let her finish speaking.

She began by discussing the company's successes and failures, not hesitating to point out issues with some billion-dollar accounts and their origins. Lee Bo Va suspected that Syung Mi's plan was to oust him from Bealk Industries... But what did she really know, he wondered.

Several of Lee Bo Va's confidants also protested Syung Mi's move. The key was that she had the votes of her father's oldest friends and board members.

Syung Mi's points were straightforward and unfaltering. The board was intrigued by her direction... she concluded without failing to bring a point to their attention. Then it was Lee Bo Va's turn to explain the allegations and express his thoughts on the announcement.

He had to be cautious with his words and implications... Syung Mi's voice was still fresh in their ears.

"I understand that what Assistant Director Bealk has just stated carries significant weight on your minds and hearts, but my record in advancing this company is impeccable, as the monthly financial reports state.

It's business, gentlemen, and we do what is necessary to secure the accounts. I'm not certain what Assistant Bealk is alleging or where her information originated, but I assure you, you can read the reports of the mentioned accounts and judge for yourselves. One thing is certain, Chairman Bealk appointed me Director of Bealk Industries for a reason... and that is to lead this company's portfolio to success."

I'm certain she desires to take her father's place, but he chose me to continue leading Bealk Industries.

At this moment, I am securing the largest acquisition in Busan, Woo Industries. With this merger, we can become the foremost South Korean and international company in our field.

The board's whispers and chatter were disconcerting, yet Syung Mi smiled, aware that he would play this card. The reading of the will would settle this for him, and she would swiftly expel the murderous, depraved man from her life forever.

Yoon and his sister had also concluded their meeting with the board, leaving things in a calm state. Yoon's actions to thwart a takeover were acknowledged. The meeting was adjourned, and Yoon handpicked his team to work closely with him, bringing him relief.

He departed for the day, eager to start planning for Woo Industries. The Securities and Exchange would undergo a revamp first.

Snow had begun to fall; winter was officially here. The air was fresh and crisp as a northern wind blew while he stood by the car. He told the driver to leave, planning to return home later.

Looking up at the sky, he tightened his coat around his neck, slung his briefcase over his shoulder, and began walking towards a bar he frequented years ago. It was where he had met Syung Mi and her friends. She weighed heavily on his mind, as memories of the past resurfaced. His love for her remained intact, locked away in the corners of his mind. Reaching the bar, he found it still there, albeit renovated.

Entering, the hostess led him to a table near the picture windows overlooking the street.

He ordered dinner and drinks, murmuring to himself, "She must know by now that I am back."
