Lee Boa Va dragged Syung Mi from the car into the warehouse, shouting for the men holding Yoon. As Syung Mi saw one of the men assaulting Yoon, she struggled free from Lee Boa Va's grip and ran to Yoon, who was tied to a chair.
"My God, what have you done to him?" Syung Mi exclaimed as Yoon drifted in and out of consciousness, just as they heard sirens approaching the warehouse. "Boss, you led them here... what now?"
Lee Boa Va looked at Yoon, knelt before him, and said, "Why did you come back, you should have stayed away. After all these years, I thought I was taking care of you... and here we are in a different situation..." Lee Boa Va said, seizing Syung Mi and brandishing his weapon to keep the police at bay.
"Lee... it's over, give up; he needs a doctor," she implored the now desperate Lee Boa Va.
"Quiet! Do you think I care if he lives? We might all die here tonight! I have nothing to lose," he roared, warning the police to stay back.
The other men who had left were caught coming out of the warehouse's rear, a chase ensued, and the police shot one of them dead.
Yoon regained consciousness, heard Lee Boa threatening Syung Mi, and yelled at him to release her. He also shouted to the officers not to shoot, revealing they were hostages. The detective assigned to the case arrived and entered the building, only to find Yoon bound to a chair.
The detective called out to Lee, "Lee Boa Va, don't make this worse than it has to be let both Hyung Woo and Director Syung Mi go; this won't end well for you." Lee Boa Va looked at Syung Mi, who was afraid and shaking. Yoon was working for his hands-free from behind his back.
He kept his eyes on Lee the whole time. Finally, his hand was free. He waited for the right moment to stand up.
Syung Mi glanced at Yoon, noticing his bruised eyes and the blood. "Lee, let me go!" she demanded loudly. As Yoon rushed towards him, catching him off guard, Syung Mi broke free from Lee. Yoon was now wrestling with him for the gun. "Don't shoot!" she screamed as she ran towards the police. The detective rushed inside just as a single shot rang out.
Yoon managed to wrestle the gun away from Lee Boa Va. The gun discharged, and Lee was struck in the stomach. Lee looked up, realizing he had been shot, and collapsed to the ground. Yoon watched as the officer approached him, reaching for the weapon. Yoon handed it over and hurried to Syung Mi, who was in shock and crying. She clung to Yoon in tears. The officer led them outside, while Lee Boa Va lay in pain from his wound.
They handcuffed him and awaited the ambulance.
