Syung Mi anxiously awaited Su Bin's call; reaching out to her and Hyun Woo was not easy. With no other options and Yoon already aware of the situation with Lee Bo and Woo Industries, she had to proceed.

"Finally!" Syung Mi exclaimed upon receiving the call. "Chairman Su Bin, how have you been?" she inquired, careful not to sound alarmed. Su Bin hesitated, then took a deep breath, intending to keep the conversation brief.

"I'm fine. What can I do for you after all these years?" Su Bin asked, acknowledging the distance in their relationship.

Syung Mi avoided mentioning Hyun. "I'm calling because I need your help. As you may know, my father passed away two weeks ago, and Bealk Industries is struggling internally. I'm also in the midst of a messy divorce, and my ex is contesting my claim to the Chairman position. He disagrees with my father's decision to appoint me as the leader of the company."

"I wanted to inform you that Lee Bo Va is attempting to acquire Woo Industries to add to the Bealk Industries portfolio. I disagree with the idea of buying out the shares resulting from your father's hard work. No reports are indicating that Woo Industries is in trouble. He aims to make Bealk the leading exporter in Seoul."

Su Bin listened intently, not interjecting anything into the conversation.

"How are the board members dealing with this situation currently? To be frank, I fired him today. But, as with every household, there are skeletons in the closet. He's threatening to ruin my father's life's work if he doesn't secure the Chairman position... He's aware that his options are limited... Challenging my father's will is futile."

"I wanted to hear from you if there's a problem with stopping him on your end. If so, I would love for us to help each other out."

Su Bin was hesitant about how to express her concerns, prompting a cool response, "I understand your concern, but we are fine. There's no way he could gain enough shares for a controlling interest in Woo Industries. His actions were misguided and reckless. I'll pass the message to my brother, the new Chairman of Woo Industries. He'll reach out if there's more to discuss." Syung Mi grew quietly wary.

"I heard he's returned and assumed the role of Chairman at Woo Industries. Extend my congratulations to him, and thank you for the reassurance."

Taken aback and slightly offended, Su Bin...

Syung Mi sat back in her chair, sensing deeper issues at play within Woo Industries.

Hyun is now Chairman, "That's certainly significant news," she murmured to herself, feeling a mix of relief about Lee Bo's failed attempt at seizing control of Woo Industries and anxiety about his reaction upon discovery.

The time had come to involve the police... Desperate men resort to desperate measures. Lee Bo had nothing left to lose... It then struck her... he might attempt to embezzle funds from Bealk Industries to flee the country... She promptly arranged a meeting with her department heads.

Lee Bo Va had already engaged a lawyer to prevent Syung Mi's dismissal from the company. The key figures in this scenario were all making moves with their own agendas. Lee Bo Va was monitoring Woo Industries, while, his wife, demanded he be held accountable for the lives he affected, the fraudulent manner in which he conducted business, and the theft from her father. Above all, she wanted him to answer for his actions towards Hyun and the last decade of their marriage.
