Time swiftly moved on, and Yoon only encountered Syung Mi twice following the ordeal with Lee Bo va... He refrained from intervening in what seemed to be a personal struggle for her the last thing he said to her was, "I will be here when you're ready." Unbeknownst to him, six months had elapsed, and she had not made contact.
Yoon was always a deep thinker, feeling unrest since Lee Bo va received a 15-year sentence for kidnapping, attempted murder, and extortion. His life seemed shattered.
Both Syung Mi and Yoon gave their testimonies; it was devastating to witness her breakdown in the aftermath. Yoon immersed himself in work, propelling Woo Industries to excel and dominate their sector.
It was a moment for him to reflect on his path and the future direction of his passion.
His sister was prepared to take over as Chairwoman of the company. Yoon was nurturing a dream he harbored... He was passionate about Art and Music and aspired to convey to the world his vision, and love of its significance to society. Thus, he resolved to establish an organization dedicated to the Arts.
"Hey, are you available for dinner tonight?" he inquired of his sister. It was the moment to inform her that his time to depart Busan had arrived. He planned to relocate to England and lead his enterprise.
Syung had been working nonstop, diligently trying to heal from all that had transpired and to salvage her father's legacy from the crisis.
Yoon was always on her mind, yet she blamed herself for everything she couldn't bring herself to face him even though things were over. Her love for him remained, but she needed time to sort things out.
After finishing her work for the day, she headed home. Being secluded was now the norm, and the story was still making headlines in the corporate world, yet they both managed to move forward somewhat in their lives.
She was always close to a computer, keeping up with the latest from Woo Industries, yearning to know how he was faring. Yet, reaching for the phone was beyond her, her heart adrift.
As she entered her home, a call came through. "Hello," said an almost melancholy voice. "Is this Syung Mi Bealk?" inquired the caller, a woman with an accent.
It was Yoon's therapist. She had learned of the incident and was worried because Yoon wasn't answering her calls. She wanted to check on him and was calling from Busan.
"Who are you?" Syung inquired.
"I'm sorry, I am a friend of Yoon Woo, or should I say, Hyun Woo. I was concerned about him. I've read articles about you both and just wanted to know if he was okay," she explained.
"How did you get my number?" Syung questioned.
"Oh, well, it's a long story. Can we talk, perhaps over coffee? I'll explain the situation and my involvement with him," she offered.
