Afuro Terumi and L/n Y/n, better known as Aphrodi and Nika [1], were a duo that was always seen together during their days together in Zeus Junior High. An iconic duo, respected by each and every student in their school after being named co-captains in their second year.
They were also a duo that somehow infuriated the whole entire school due to their sheer obliviousness towards their feelings for each other. It didn't take a genius to see that something was going on between the two. Their actions towards each other were anything but platonic, to say the least. I mean come on, you could practically feel the jealousy radiating off Afuro when any other boy tried to talk to you.
The past few weeks consisted of you two watching the matches between Raimon and Aliea Academy. Your interest and investment only increased when you overheard that the next match was happening in the Football Frontier stadium. So once practice was over you both immediately grabbed your stuff and ran to the stadium, not bothering to change out of your uniforms. Both of you arrived just in time to see the start of the match, leading you to realise the immense power Diamond Dust held. The both of you were standing in the empty stands of a stadium watching the match between Raimon and Diamond Dust.
"They were able to just barely save the goal! But Raimon is having a hard time!"
You tuned out the commentator's voice as Afuro moved to retrieve the ball, "It's time, Y/n." He spoke, holding the ball in his hands. You nodded and pushed yourself off the bannister that you were leaning on as he kicked the ball back, which unintentionally caused a stir on the field.
"It came back.." Kabeyama trailed off, staring at the ball that had miraculously bounced back to the side lines.
A tense silence passed as Afuro walked out onto the middle of the field, you soon followed out with a confident smirk. Endou's eyes widened at the familiar faces as you kicked the ball to your blond friend. He kicked the ball up, catching it with one hand while you walked over to stand next to him.
"Aphrodi and Nika?" Endou exclaimed with wide eyes.
The older members from Raimon gawked at the duo that had so graciously blessed the grounds that they were stood on. He threw the ball to the referee as Endou walked over with a conflicted expression, standing before you. "We meet again, Endou." You spoke, folding your arms behind your back.
The newer members looked in confusion, "Who are they?" Rika mumbled.
"We fought them in the Football Frontier finals, they're the co-captains of Zeus Junior High." Ichinose explained with a frown, the graphic images from the match flashing through his mind.
"What did you come here for?" Endou said with furrowed eyebrows, demanding an answer.
"We came here to fight.." You started, letting your arms fall to your sides.
