You were only one when you were exposed to an abusive household.

You were only two when you last felt true happiness.

You were only three when your mom left your family.

You were only four when your dad was diagnosed with an incurable disease.

You were only five when you watched your dad's funeral.

You were only six when you began to steal for survival.

You were only seven when you were sent to an orphanage.

You were only eight when the other kids in the orphanage began to berate you.

You were only nine when they resorted to physical violence because you were numb to their words.

You were only ten when someone finally adopted you and didn't send you back.

Mr. Kidou didn't adopt you for the same reason he adopted Kidou Yuuto. He adopted Kidou Yuuto because Kageyama Reiji recommended the boy at a young age, claiming he had a talent for soccer at the age of six.

He was, naturally, unsure at first, why would he adopt a kid who was interested in soccer when he was looking for someone to take over the company in the future?

He was proven wrong when Yuuto displayed his range of strategies in not only soccer, but also basic economics and business. He was only seven at this point. He can't have been learning this in school, so where the fuck did he learn this?

Let's get back on track. Yuuto was adopted for the company, a hubris and selfish reason if you were to ask anyone that knew the truth.

You were adopted because of Kidou. No, not Mr. Kidou, but Kidou Yuuto.

One time, when Kidou was ten, he was walking back from elementary since school had ended early. He always passed an orphanage on the way there and back, but he never saw any kids playing outside.

If his memory was correct, and it always was, he could remember there being certain time slots for him, Haruna and the other kids to play.

As he neared the orphanage, the sound of cheery laughter eliciting from young kids filled his ears. He paused for a moment before peering through the bushes, making sure no one saw him, and there he saw a variety of kids playing a variety of games and sports.

The first kids that caught his eyes were the kids playing soccer, there were only a few, but enough to make themselves happy. The next few were playing baseball, and the others were playing tennis.
