"It won't happen again," I promised with a sickly sweet smile, guilelessly gazing at the teacher that stood before us. That was a lie. Whoever this lady is was getting on my nerves. I was honestly struggling to hold back my laugh every time she spat out long strings of nonsense that was clearly dripping with disdain. I glanced at my watch with a yawn, noticing that she had been scolding me and this... thing beside me for around 10 minutes now. I shoved my hands in my pockets as I attempted to recollect the reason as to why Natsumi and I were here in the first place.

School after hours was something the majority wouldn't experience. The weird apocalyptic feeling when you see a place so lively be so empty and meaningless. It was peaceful and tranquil. Is what I would have thought if I wasn't on the way to my inevitable doom.

I prided myself in being neutral with practically anything and everything in this damn institution. But even just a whisper of her name makes me want to fuck around pump my bloodstream backwards to see what happens. A bonding session? Really? The school's futile attempts at disputing this feud was certainly quite entertaining to me, to say the least.

I finally saw her, and her elegance irritated me.

She was pathetic, really. She gazed out the window with those brooding eyes of hers, I was utterly surprised she had a thought in her mind anyway. But all jokes had a punchline in the long run, right? A singular eraser ought to do it, and I was right. Of course I was.

The small piece of white stationery hit that empty head of hers, sending her into a frenzy of rage, breaking her calm aura she exuded, and instead out cane her prissy princess act. A disgusted noise emitted from her as she turned to point her finger at me, ready to spew out a range of insults that could only leave a mere scratch on my ego.

Her attention was quickly averted when the door swung open, revealing a teacher I deemed to be inferior. Why? Simple, I couldn't remember her name. Upon seeing the frail and elderly woman before us, Natsumi lowered her offending finger while barely biting back a bastard grin.

The task was simple enough, bake a cake and we get to leave and hopefully never see each other ever again. Which was also a lie since she was in most of my classes. Gosh, being so incredibly smart could only get me so far, and it had landed me stuck in a room with the girl that was a pest in my own humble opinion.

However, the execution of said task was not so simple. Her attempts at leadership were proven to be pointless countless times. Why we were left unsupervised was truly beyond me. They should've been more considerate with their actions. This was also to be proved after some painful and uneventful minutes.

With a simple flick of a finger, chaos had ensued. Natsumi sent me a loathsome glare as I desperately held back my cackle. The usually cool and composed girl before me had a thick glob of frosting tangled in her hair, and before I knew it the kitchen was trashed and ultimately unrecognisable. Cake batter and small bullets of sprinkles were shot across the room, while the sound of laughter filled the room. "All is fair in love and war," Is what they said. Is this what they meant? My question remained unanswered as the same lady from before slammed the door open, shaking with rage.

Huh.. so that's why this lady was screaming at us. A condescending smile painted my lips. I was satisfied with my work and the chaos caused. I glanced at the brunette beside me who adorned the same prideful smile.

Maybe she wasn't that bad, after all.
