At The Club
True Bennington POV
"You look different today." Don said, eyeing me.
At least she noticed something was different. Mando only noticed that my skirt was tight and short.
"Yes there is." I said, staring at her.
"Did you get contacts?" she said, probably noticing my eyes weren't dark brown but grayish blue at the moment. "You totally did. Why?"
I nodded, "Just wanted to spice up my look."
She smiled, "You were beautiful without them and you're beautiful with them."
I bit my lip and felt my cheek grow warm. She touched my cheek and my breathing hitched. Lately, everytime she touches me, my heart goes crazy and I can't breathe.
The problem is the last time this happened was when I first met Mando. And that meant I was developing a very big crush on Don.
"What're you doing after work?" Ali asked.
I hadn't even notice her come up. I bit in my smile and looked down at my planner.
Empty as usual.
"Nothing." I answered, standing up to make the copies.
"Come to the club with us." Don suggested.
"I don't know if Mando will like that.." I said, unsure.
Don gave me a look. 'Do you really think you should be giving a damn what she will like if she's not doing anything for you that you'd like? She ain't taking your feelings in consideration.'
All that in a damn look. "Yes, actually I'll go. Don come by after work to help me find something to wear. I haven't been out for so long."
She smirked, "Of course I will."
Avery came and did her usual sympathy routine which I learned to ignore. I couldn't help but feel annoyed with her. She's been telling everyone but me what she saw. So now everyone around me talking about me and giving me sympathy and I don't even know what they even sympathetic for.
All because Mando cheated on me? Or was there more to the story. Probably more because there's always more to the story. But what was the more?
"I'll see you later beautiful." Don said, kissing my hand and walking in away.
Today she wore some boy clothes and damn did she look good. Her hair was braided into two long braids, her eyes bore no makeup, and her pants sagged off of her ass in a non thuggish way. I wonder how she's going to dress tonight? Like a boy? Like a girl?
Would she have me on her arm? I shook my head, I wasn't supposed to think about her that way.
"You totally feeling her ain't you?" Ali said beside me and sitting on the desk.
"I have a girlfriend, Ali." I said.
"Yeah, so do yo girlfriend but she still fucking other bitches." she shot back, "But as I said, you feeling Don. You check her out all the time. You be all google eyed, blushing, smiling, and shit. You like her. Don't lie to me."
I gave her a deadpan state which she meant with a smirk, "Okay, okay. I like Don. But I'm not my girlfriend. I don't wanna just cheat on her. Even if my girlfriend is cheating on me."
She nodded, "You a good girl, True. But you so fucking naive."
I frowned. What was she saying? She had already walked away.
