Getting the Sideline Back
Mandolin Carter POV
I checked my appearance in the mirror become my belongings and leaving the house. I wish that True was home but she wasn't. She pushed me to this.
Why couldn't she just come home?
I checked the outfit one last time before climbing into the car and driving towards Lexingtons apartment.
It was uptown and was always, always, always loud. I walked up to her door and felt myself knocking.
The door creaked open and Lexi stood there. She frowned at me.
"Accompany me on a date?" I asked her.
She was blushing for a second before shrugging. "Give me 10 minutes."
She slammed the door in my face. I leaned against the railing by her door. I ran a hand through my dreams and picked invisible lent off of me.
"Ready." Lexington said, stepping out in a loose red and white dress.
"You look beautiful." I said, taking her hand in mine and leading her downstairs.
She blushed again and looked away. "Thank you."
Arriving at the restaurant, I ran across the hood of the car and opened the door. She smiled at me.
"Thank you." she said, "You look really good."
"Thanks ma." I said, smiling at her.
We sat down at the table and had already both ordered food. She was cheesing and playing with her hair.
I missed fucking her. I kissed her hand and laid my eyes on her.
"So, the real question is.. Am I yo girl?" she asked.
"Yes, you my girl." I said, cheesing.
Damn, I'm going to hell for lying.
Lexington Wells POV
My heart was going crazy. I was so happy. I was her girlfriend. She called me her girlfriend.
"Finally." I said, pressing my lips against her soft ones. "I love you."
She just smiled at me and pressed her lips to mine again. We finished eating the food.
"Want anything for dessert?" she asked.
"How about me and whip cream?" I said.
She smiled at me, "Hell yeah. Check please."
She received the check, paid the bill, and escorted me out of the restaurant. I smirked at her eagerness. I prayed to God, this wasn't another trick..
But she's never actually told me I was her girl before so I don't think it was.
True Bennington POV
I learned against Don, laughing at the jokes of the comedian. He was cracking jokes on the people in the audience.
He was so funny. Don had her arm around my shoulder and she looked so good in the one shoulder dress she was wearing and heels.
"You look so beautiful." she said, kissing my shoulder. "Look at those freckles."
I laughed and blushed, "Shut up."
The spotlight landed on us and the comedian awed at us.
"I'm sorry. I was go crack a joke about y'all but look how damn cute they are." he said, "Making a nigga straight jealous and shit."
The crowed laughed and looked towards us. I blushed but Don beamed with happiness and pride. Her eyes were shining and her arm tightened around me.
"You're so amazing." she whispered into my ear.I just looked down and blushed even harder.
I definitely wanted to Dons girl. But I had to complete the plan and pray she stayed beside me.
Lexington Wells POV
She fucked the shit out of me. She grabbed my hair and shit. I was so happy. She held me close to her chest and I just traced patterns onto her boobs.
"I love you." I said, cutting her off mid-sentence.
"I got mad love for you too." she said, kissing my forehead.
I cuddled closer to her and snuggled my face into her neck. This was perfect.
My love. My girlfriend. Mine & only mine.
Mandolin Carter POV
I was feeling bad.
She was so happy. Smiling blindly, but I'd never ever leave True. Especially not for Lexington. I was just basking in the attention she was giving me and I knew I'd have to go home before True did.
But how would I explain me running out in the middle of the night to Lexi without breaking my lie?
Family emergency.
That's going to have to suffice. Make Up something about Jay needing me. Janathan is my go to lie and I know he'll lie to me.
Even if he's against what I do, he'll always lie for me.
Lexi was kissing my neck and feeling on me. Tryna start something she couldn't finish.
"You wanna another round?" I said, grabbing her.
She got on top of me and we started another round.
I hope she never finds out that she's not my only girlfriend. I love the attention she's giving me. It makes me feel special. And I don't know what I'd do without her. But I have to straighten my act out with True.
True Bennington POV
I smiled up at Don. She looked gorgeous, laughing and smiling. Her skin was radiant and glowing, her smile was wide and carefree.
Don was juts perfect. She ordered us both more drinks. Super fruity girly drinks too. Strawberry daiquiri and Malibu cocktails.
I wanted something harder but remained myself we were at a comedy bar when the audience shouldn't get drunk and crazy. Plus I think Don thought I was the super girly girl who didn't drink vodka or scotch because the last time we went out all I ordered was strawberry margaritas and sex on the beaches.
Maybe I needed to be more loose next time we go out. And show her I can drink just as much as she can. If not more.
Don was a crazy party girl at heart.
"Are you ready to go?" Don asked when the show was over.
I nodded, letting Don walk in front of me. Her hips were sashying and switching naturally. For such a skinny girl, she had a perfectly round ass that moved when she walked.
I moved my eyes, frowning at my own perverted mind.
"Are you hungry? We can go get Caribbean or some Chinese?" she asked, swinging our jointed hands.
"Yeah, either is fine." as long as I'm with you.
She smiled like she could read my thoughts. I blushed like she could.
L A T E R
I frowned at the empty apartment I came home to. I glanced at the clock; 12:54 a.m. Where was Mando? At least I made it back at a reasonable time and told her where I was going and who I was with!
I decided to sit up and wait for her to come home. I was done with her bullshit.
