I saw aunt Karen working in the kitchen when she slowly, and dramatically, turned around.

I walked upto her and gave her a huge hug. She patted my back a few times before we pulled back and she patted my head.

Her eyes moved past me and fell on Ethan as he walked over.

"Hello, I am Ethan," he said with a smile and I saw a dark look pass over aunt Karen's expression.

Maybe I was mistaken?

"Hello, young man. It's so nice to see my darling Isabelle's mate. She has told me a lot about you and from what I've heard, you are a charming young lad," aunt Karen said with a bit of venom in her tone but I shrugged it off.

"Thank you," he said as he smiled one more time before we settled into the living room, talking and laughing.

Aunt Karen was telling us embarrassing stories about Leah when Ben came trudging down the steps. He went into the kitchen before peeking outside.

His eyes met mine before straying towards Ethan and they widened. He straightened his back and walked towards us with his usual smile.

"Hey, I am Bennett. Nice to meet you," he went straight for Ethan and stretched out his hand. Ethan watched his every move as he shook hands with him.

There seemed to be a weird tension in the air between them which put me on edge.

Did they hate each other? That would actually be disastrous for me.

"I am Ethan. Pleasure's all mine," Ethan said as he smiled a bit and both of them started glaring each other down.

"Here, Iz," Leah snapped me out of my trance as she handed me a glass of water and Ethan a glass of coke.

"Thanks," I said with a big smile as I gulped it down in one breathe and put the glass on the table.

"So, why didn't anyone tell me that Iz was coming over today?" Ben said all of a sudden as he leaned back in his seat.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe becuase you're never home and don't even bother answering your phone!" Leah started in a low tone before starting to shout.

"Well, they seem close," Ethan leaned towards me and whispered in my ear. His breathe on my neck made shivers run down my back and I felt my cheeks burn up.

"Th-They a-are," I whispered back and saw him smile, which in turn made me smile.

"I'm going back to my room. Thanks for visiting, Iz, and nice meeting you, Alpha Ethan," Ben said as he got up and left.

Leah huffed before plopping down next to me and the conversation started to flow as if nothing happened.

We were all done with dinner but before leaving, I wanted to show Ethan my room and get some of the things which I had left behind.

We entered and immediately, I was filled with a sense of nostalgia. It hadn't been that long but since I was really moving out, I felt a little nostalgic.

"Hey, are you ok?" Ethan asked as he hugged me from behind and I blushed before nodding.

"J-Just a little n-nostalgic," I said as I turned around in his arms and stared into his yellow, sparkling eyes.

He hummed as he lowered his face just inches from mine. My breathe got caught up in my throat and flashes of our kiss passed before my eyes.

"You know, I haven't been able to get our kiss out of my head since this afternoon," he said as his eyes lingered on my lips a little longer than I expected.
