Wren sat alone, sobbing and screaming for help. But help never came. Instead, she sat alone in the middle of nowhere waiting for the horrors that awaited her; she didn't have long before he came back.

Who was he?

He was her father; the one man she had gone from loving to hating and fearing. The one man who changed the definition of "Fatherly love". He had inflicted damage only a father could do. wren was snapped out of her thoughts as the door was carelessly flung against the hard stone wall. She watched and listened as the all-too-familiar shadow stepped closer.

"So what will it be today?" he asked her through gritted teeth.

Wren sat and said nothing, not even daring to breathe to not anger him more than he already was.

"Answer me, girl!" He yelled snapping Wren from her statue-like state. She flinched back at his words before she regained her composure.

"Nothing. Please." She begged through stifled sobs.

He stood debating what he should do before he bent down in front of her. watching her react to his presence. He took in the sight in front of him, his abomination of a daughter shackled with manacles, tears streaming down her face.

The Salvatore brothers sat in Damon's car discussing their plan. Their plan is to rescue Elena Gilbert. Damon began the conversation with his younger brother. "Alaric sure likes his weapons." he started before Stefan held up a bottle that resembled a homemade grenade. "What the hell is that?"

"I don't know, it's a vervain bomb or a grenade launcher or something like that," Stefan responded with bewilderment, uncertain of what it was and unwilling to test it, particularly if there was a chance it could be filled with vervain.

"Weird."

"Hey, how much further is it?"

"About 80 miles." Stefan frowned at Damon's answer, this is going to be one long drive he thought to himself. continuing the conversation he casually asked, "Who do you think took her?"

"Someone from Katherine's past. She said she was running from someone. They got the wrong girl." Damon responded stating the obvious, it was indeed easy to tell the difference between Kathrine and Elena. everything about them was different, the way they spoke, the way they dressed and did their hair, and the way they acted.

"Thank you for helping me."

"Can we not do the whole road trip bonding thing? The cliché of it all makes me itch." Damon replied, his voice trembling dramatically at the thought.
