24|Behind You.

It's been about a week since I started college and almost a month since I've seen my friends. I seriously miss them a lot but luckily they still remember me and call me all the time. Matt's also been texting me non-stop asking if I'm doing okay and if i'm having fun at Stanford (I'm not).

This past week has just been introductions to my classes, but they have also been incredibly boring. I fortunately got my own dorm room with no roommate so that's the only positive. So far I haven't made any new friends, and I honestly don't plan on it. I just hope my other friends also don't plan on making any new friends and leaving me behind or else..

I had just finished up a facetime call with the girls and some of the boys also popped in. They all rented a house to stay in- which I really didn't except considering they are all broke but who cares.

I put my phone down and stood up. There wasn't much to do on campus during the weekends, other than sleep and study but it was still pretty early in the day so I decided to go out for a walk.

I quickly changed out of my pajamas into some comfy clothes, grabbed my phone, airpods, and some other necessities. I walked out of my dorm and closed the door behind me, and made my way outside.

Although the sun was shining bright, it was actually quite nice outside. It was just the right amount of wind, and it wasn't flaming hot outside. I pulled my airpods out of my pocket and put one in my ear. I opened up Spotify on my phone, looking up to make sure I'm still on the sidewalk, and then back to my phone to play my playlist. Fireside by the Arctic Monkeys began playing and I sighed as I took in the beauty of nature around me.

I continued walking on the path, not sure where i'm headed to but I didn't care. Multiple people passed me, it seems like everyone else really likes the weather today. I pulled my phone out of my pocket again, Balaclava by Arctic Monkeys playing now.

Susanna pep: Lizaaa I miss you ;-;

I chuckled at the stupid face she put.

Me: never send that face ever again.

Me: imyt Susan

Before I could put my phone back into my back pocket, My phone began vibrating and Matthew's number popped up. I immediately answered and put the camera towards me.

"Hi ,Matt!" I said excitedly.

"Hey pretty, how you doing?"

I looked to my side before crossing the street, "I'm good, I'm just out for a walk."

"I see that. Have you ate? Oh, Sudan told me that someone's been leaving you weird messages, is that true?"

I laughed at Susanna's nickname, "Sudan? Let me guess, one of the boys came up with that nickname, huh?" I smiled as I looked down to the floor, watching my steps.

Matt chuckled on the other side of the phone, "It was Felix who came up with it. Anyways, you didn't answer my question, Liza."

"Yes, I already ate. And no? What is Susanna talking about?" I questioned.

He faced the camera towards his face and raised a brow, "she said that you told her that you've been getting weird messages from a guy? Or it could be a girl but I seriously doubt it because you're so pretty- anyways yeah that's what she told me."

I made a confused look on my face just as someone was passing by me, and they gave me a weird look. I looked back to Matt's face on my screen,

"Some girl just gave me a weird look, anyways, no I don't know what she's talking about. She's probably just kidding and trying to freak you out." I chuckled.

"Mm, I sure hope so. If anything happens make sure you tell me, pretty."

I rolled my eyes, "I promise you that i'll tell you."

I continued walking forward, and then took a left into a very empty street- Bad idea. I faced the phone back to my face, and I noticed through the camera that a man was walking very close behind me.

"Liza, who's that man walking behind you?"

Before I could respond to Matt, a hand landed on my shoulder, causing me to flinch and drop my phone to the floor.

"Liza? Liza, what happened!?"
