~Liza Smith~

The rest of the night with Matthew was sort of weird. After he looked at his phone he started looking around panicked. I asked him what's wrong but he said nothing. I tried to sneak a peak at his phone screen but he shut it off before I could see it.

Was he cheating on me?

I know we still aren't to that point where we can just go through each other's phone but he would tell me if something was going on. Once we got to his car we got in and he started driving almost immediately. The car ride to my house was completely silent. I didn't wanna ask anything again.

We got to my house and I was gonna open the door before he said,

"We're graduating tomorrow." He looked forward, not looking at me.

"Yeah I know" I replied.

"We won't see eachother everyday anymore." He looked at me and pouted.

"You said we'd figure it out." I raised an eyebrow.

"We will, I'm just gonna miss you a lot." He said.

Is that water forming in his eyes??

"Are you gonna cry" I laughed a little.

"Yes because I l-"

We both paused. Do not say it. It's too soon.

"Like you. I like you a lot, Liza."

I smiled at him, "I like you too."

I don't know when we would figure out how we could see each other after graduation. I hope it was soon though because being apart from him more than a week, I would probably go insane.

"Can we talk about.. What we're gonna do after graduation? You know I'm going to Stanford, which isn't far from here, so I think it won't be hard to see each other." I leaned my head back into my seat.

"I told you we'd figure it out, pretty." He said

I'm feeling a but here.

"But, not right now okay? I'll see you tomorrow at graduation." He looked away.

"Matt, what's wrong? Ever since you got some.. Some kind of text you've just been acting weird." I asked.

"What? I'm not acting weird. I'm just feeling mixed emotions about tomorrow." He said, now looking at his lap.

"Is it the fight?" I questioned.

"The fight between me and my mom? That was nothing."

"What about your brother?"

"He was there too, but we didn't really talk."

"Matt, you can talk to me about it." I reassured him.

"No it's okay, I don't wanna talk about that right now." He replied.

"Mm okay then. I'm gonna go now. I'll see you tomorrow." I said reaching to open the car door.

"No kiss?" He looked at me. With puppy eyes. Bastard.

I leaned in towards him until our lips met. It was a quick and simple kiss. I smiled and opened the car door.

"Bye."

"Bye, pretty."

I stepped back and closed the car door. I turned around and headed towards the front door of my house. I opened it and walked inside without looking back at Matthew.
